Crazy Cat Collectibles Is Bringing Epic Mystery Grab Bags and Exclusives to SDCC 2019 [UPDATE June 25]

Crazy Cat Collectibles is coming to San Diego Comic-Con with a deal that’s, well, pretty crazy.

They’ll be at Booth #429 selling what looks to be 6,000 grab bags containing three comic variants for $40. The retail price of the three variants alone is $70, but that’s not the crazy part. When you buy a grab bag, you have a 1:15 odds of pulling a “chase ticket.” You’ll call it a golden ticket when you see what it can win you:

  • T-shirts
  • Posters
  • 1:500, 1:1000, 1:2000 variants
  • Stan Lee signed comics: Amazing Spider-Man cover sketch drawn and signed by Stan Lee
  • Stan Lee signed CGC 9.8 comics: Amazing Spider-Man Ditko cover variant signed by Stan Lee on his 90th birthday, Dec. 28, 2012

[UPDATE June 25]

They really are crazy at Crazy Cat Collectibles. They announced via their Instagram feed that they are raising the odds of pulling a chase ticket to somewhere between 1:15 and 1:10.

But what’s actually in the bag? It’s nice to know that you’re spending $40 and getting a minimum of $70 worth of comics, but what are the variants you’ll find? To answer that, Crazy Cat Collectibles posted some examples on their Instagram page of what you’ll find in your grab bag.

[UPDATE June 7]

Crazy Cat Collectibles updated their Instagram feed with some more samples of what you’ll find in your $40 grab bag, including Deadpool, The Uncanny Inhumans, The Adventures of Spider-Man, and Batman.

If that’s not enough (what?!), they’ve also added a collaboration between Bad Dog Comics and Stoned Ninja Comics to bring along an SDCC-exclusive variant for Stoned Ninja #2 for you to add to your stash. There’s only 200 copies total, so you’ll want to get your hands on these before they go up in smoke.

[UPDATE June 25]

The folks at Stoned Ninja Comics are busy developing carpal tunnel syndrome as they sign their copies of Stoned Ninja #2. They’ve even been quality checked by their ever-vigilant QA department.

With deals like these you’d be crazy not to make Booth #429 one of your first stops at SDCC.
