Under the Tents: Marvel, Cobra Kai, Bosslogic, Monkey Minion Press, Nerdist

It’s never too late for a round of Comic-Con news, right? And we’ve got some big news tonight, including word of a Nerdist offsite, Iron Man VR, the cast for Cobra Kai, and so much more.

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • Nerdist is having an offsite this year — at the Sparks Gallery (530 6th Ave), where they’ll have Nerdist Presents: Borderlands 3 Museum of Mayhem. We don’t know any other specifics yet, but it’s something!
  • Stop by the Marvel Booth on Friday, July 19 to take part in a hands-on Iron Man VR signing session at 11:15AM, followed by a live Let’s Play for the game immediately following.

  • Speaking of Marvel, this year’s booth activities have been revealed, and they include a cosplay photo op, a costume contest for the adults, and another costume contest for the kiddos.

  • YouTube Originals is sweeping the leg at SDCC 2019. Cobra Kai is returning to SDCC with another panel on Thursday, July 18 — and now we know that panel includes original Karate Kid stars William Zabka and Ralph Macchio as well as new stars Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, and Tanner Buchanan. Then, on Saturday, YouTube Originals brings Impulse to the Indigo Ballroom with series stars Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, Daniel Maslany, and showrunner Lauren LeFranc.

  • Frank Gogol is bringing a Phillip Sevy SDCC exclusive variant cover for Dead End Kids #1 to Source Point Press’s Booth #2306. There are only 100 pieces, so these will go super fast.

  • Genevieve Santos, or Le Petit Elefant to her fans, is bringing her adorable ceramic rice cooker teacup with her to Small Press Table #L-07. This is a one-of-a-kind, so you’ll be the only one to take this home.

  • Chris Maze revealed the first of the fine-art prints he’l have at Dial R Studios’ Booth #2103: Hey, it’s-a MARio-VELL!

  • Somehow, The Little Red House managed to make cats even more adorable than they already are in this coin purse you’ll find at Small Press Table #O-12.

  • I may just be camping out at Booth #817 this year. Planet Awesome Collectibles will have an SDCC-exclusive Bosslogic variant cover for Psi-Lords #1 as well as Bosslogic himself, who will be signing at their booth.

  • If you’re not visiting Dane Ault and Monkey Minion Press at Booth #2007, you’re not doing the con right. He’s been working hard to get his amazing prints ready for SDCC, and that work always pays off.

  • Castle by Design has been busy prepping for the convention by working on these adorable mini tote-bags. Get yours at Artists’ Alley CC-16.

  • If Booth #5555 is not already on your must-stop list for the show floor, it should be. Artists James Silvani and Amy Mebberson will be there with prints galore — like these awesome 9″x12″ originals from Silvani.

  • Artist Brett Bean showed off another original piece he’s bringing to Comic-Con, which you can pick up at Booth #5553. It’s right by Silvani and Mebberson, so you don’t even have to go far.
