WonderPost 2022: California Browncoats, Torpedo Comics, Abby Trott, Jeff Pina

What do Venom, big damn heroes, panels, and Demon Slayer have in common? You can find news on all of them in today’s edition of WonderPost, of course!

Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:

  • But wait, there’s more! Pina is also bringing some of his books with him to his WonderCon booth #C-59, including Telepathic Penguin Knows What You’ve Done!

  • ASIFA-Hollywood (the International Animated Film Society) are hittin’ the road for the first time since 2019, when they’ll make an appearance at WonderCon Anaheim. Stop by Booth #1610 to become a member and to celebrate the art of animation and its creators.

  • Looking to get some awesome comics at WonderCon? Be sure to stop by Las Vegas’ Torpedo Comics at Booth #419 to find something cool.

  • Hobby and toy shop Shumi Nation will have a few special guests at their Booth #1447 throughout the weekend, including Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba voice actor Abby Trott.

  • Are you an artist who will be at WonderCon in need of some last minute printing? Victron Printing will be tabling at Artists Alley #F-12 with their in-house artist Victor Barreto, but they’re also able to deliver prints directly to your booth. Now that’s customer service. Additionally, if you purchase the prints that are part of their Ukraine fundraiser, there’s a pick-up at WonderCon option when you checkout.

  • The California Browncoats need you to be a big damn hero! They’ll be exhibiting at Booth #889, where they’ll be busy celebrating the 20th anniversary of Firefly. But even the best pilots need a crew, and they are currently seeking volunteers.

  • You can also swing by the Browncoats weekend to grab a “Manly Hero” Vera pin by SineCera.

  • Will we get the programming schedule tomorrow?! We sure hope so… but until then, Viktorya Roze Tassi shared that you can look forward to a “Nerds With PTSD” panel discussing cosplay, fandom, and mental health on Friday, April 1 at 6pm PT.

  • You can catch artist Leanne Huynh in Artists Alley #C-32 during WonderCon for gorgeous prints, pins, and more.
