WonderPost 2022: Panels, Naruto, JYK All Day, Val Hochberg, Chris Uminga

Panel updates, prints featuring everyone from Spider-Man to Bridgerton, and booth signings — oh my! WonderCon is less than two weeks away, and we’ve got another jam-packed WonderPost for you today with all the updates.

Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:

  • The complete WonderCon programming schedule is out now! However, something is a afoot — when the schedule was originally posted, every single panel was listed as a “Virtual Event”. Since then, that tag has been removed from all panels. However, we’ve confirmed with moderator Tara Bennett that Fear the Walking Dead at least will be pre-recorded. So what does that mean? Well, it would appear that at least one panel is virtual rather than in-person, but there’s nothing currently on the schedule to indicate which is which. Which is… not amazing? Hopefully Comic-Con International corrects this soon.

  • Also worth noting from yesterday’s schedule release: Unfortunately, the Scott Shaw! panel has been cancelled.
  • Artist Chris Uminga is working up something cool and unique for WonderCon attendees. What could it be? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

  • You can stop by Booth #904 to visit Whimsical Worlds all weekend long, where best-selling authors Derek Taylor Kent and Sheri Fink will be on hand.

  • Three — it’s the magic number. Which must mean that JYK All Day’s latest WonderCon print featuring all three Spidey’s is extra magical. Not going to WonderCon? You’ll get a chance to grab one online on March 21, but remaining inventory is heading to the convention.

  • Artist Henry Liao got in on the reveals of new prints he’ll have in hand for WonderCon this year, including Storm and The Hulk.

  • Shumi Nation will be a must-stop during WonderCon for anime fans. Their list of special guests at their booth grows, now including Naruto voice actor Neil Kaplan and Boruto voice actor Amanda Céline Miller.

  • And speaking of special guests on the show floor, 7 Bucks a Pop will have exclusive booth signings throughout the weekend as well with voice actors, including Bryce Papenbrook, Cherami Leigh, Erica Schroeder, and Mary Gibbs. Stay tuned to their social for the full schedule at Booth #281.

  • Artist brokentrain is bringing a Demon Slayer print to Artists Alley D-14, so be sure to stop by to pick it up.

  • Geek clothing company Hero Within revealed that due to manufacturing delays in China, their WonderCon inventory will be impacted.
