Under the Tents 2022: Matt Kindt, Bruce Campbell, Jeff Pina, Mary Bellamy

Whelp, it’s Thursday and my brain is scrambled from all the Comic-Con news that’s been pouring in. When it rains it pours, right? Well, after this 1000+ day drought, what did we really expect? Here’s another load of announcements to help you plan your San Diego Comic-Com; exclusives, signings and even some guests, sketches, and much more.

Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:

  • Honestly, it would not be a real San Diego Comic-Con without Bruce Campbell and thankfully, Bruce has announced he’ll be there. No details yet, but we already think it’s groovy!

  • The selections for the 18th International Children’s Film Festival have been revealed. Now we just need days, times and locations and we’ll be set for the weekend.
  • If you’re attending the Funko Fundays event please make note that the SDCC mask rules will not apply and masks will be optional.

  • Artist Jeff Pina is taking us back….Back to the Future, I mean. This adorable Marty and Doc will be available as a print for Comic-Con.

  • Actor Jackie Dallas is giving off a “Stars….They’re Just Like Us” vibe with her excitement. Jackie will be signing autographs and posing for photos. More details to come but we suspect she will be up in the Sails Pavilion.

  • Let you hands to the talking….or in this case, the MEOWING….*ahem, I’ll see myself out.* Adorable Mayhem will have this Sphinx Cat ring and much more at booth #4537.

  • Director of Communications for Obsidian Games, Mikey Dowling, has issued an announcement…or is it a threat? Either way, looks like Grounded the Game will have a presence at SDCC.

  • Surf’s up for writer Esteban Matheius, writer of the novel Sticks & Stone. They will be signing at the League of S.T.E.A.M. booth, #1949.

  • Prolific writer and artist Matt Kindt will be at Comic-Con…with a surprise. Is it regarding his creator owned title MIND MGMT? Will he be brining his BRZRKR collaborator Keanu Reeves with him? We’ll have to wait and see. Kindt is one of my favorite creators in the whole wide world, so whatever the surprise is, it’ll be worth the wait.

  • More critter drops that you can shake your crochet needle at! That’s what we’ll be getting, including from Sunny, the NiftyNeuron.

  • We’ll have to wait just a little bit longer for details about Del Rey’s plans for San Diego Comic-Con, but it looks like we have something to look forward to, according to Elizabeth Schaefer, Creative Director.

  • According to PopInsider, Insight Editions will have Stranger Things: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book on display at Booth #2135, featuring intricate, pop-off-the-page recreations of iconic moments from all four seasons of the Netflix series.

  • Someone’s got a case of the excites and it might be Patrick Ballesteros, here with 4 more originals showing the Turning Red gang hyping up San Diego.

  • To say comic writer Scott Snyder is productive would be a gross understatement. Here are Scott’s projects releasing in July, which he’s planning on discussing at San Diego Comic-Con.

  • Artist John Giang has a very busy schedule this summer, but SDCC makes the short list of events he’ll be attending.
