Under the Tents 2022: California Browncoats, tokidoki, Queen Studios, Spectral Ink

“Manic Monday” is here and what better way to get it started than with a brand new Under the Tents? From 3D printed goodies from both California Browncoats and Spectral Ink, to some cool at from Patrick Ballesteros and Eric Powell. Don’t fret, we’ve got a whopping nine days until Comic-Con but in the mean time…

Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:

  • Are you a Firefly fan looking for a unique purchase at Comic-Con? Well, the California Browncoats will have a shadowbox kit that is pretty limited. Head over to A7-A8 to pick yours up!

  • Not only will Tokidoki have a booth at SDCC (#5037), they will be present at IT’SUGAR in the heart of the Gaslamp. You can find IT’SUGAR at 450 Fifth Ave which is about a 10 minute walk from the convention center. More details to come.

  • Queen Studios will have a booth at Comic-Con and it will be their first time at the convention! The brand will have some exclusives as well as some giveaways. More details to follow but they suggest signing up for their newsletter for updates.
  • Legendary comic book artist Alex Ross will be brining his latest sketchbook to Comic-Con. Alex’s latest Instagram post gives you a look at the cover which features Captain America among others.

  • Wanna show appreciation to the work Dave Filoni has done with the Star Wars franchise? If you stop by the booth of BB-CRE.8, you can snag their latest enamel pins which honor Filoni’s trademark hats. You can find them at booth #1134.

  • Let’s say you have very limited room left in your bag and you are looking for something mini perhaps to purchase. How about some mini originals from Patrick Ballesteros? Patrick recently showed off some of this mini originals work-in-progress for the con.

  • Does your book collection display need an upgrade? Spectral Ink wants to help you with just that as they will have custom 3D printed book stands to giveaway during the con. You can enter the giveaway by swinging by their booth #5566.

  • Artist Eric Powell will have very limited quantities of a handful of Mondo posters he has done in the past. You can find Eric and these posters at the Albatross Funnybooks/Eric Powell Booth #2207.
