It’s the final countdown, and we are just days away from San Diego Comic-Con (11, to be exact). We’ve got updates for you this morning on a possible cosplay contest from Prime Video, a signing at the Cat Cafe with Amy Chu, something big from Symbiote Studios, a whale of a tale (or pin), an exclusive that’s sure to go extinct, and more.
Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:
- Calling all cosplayers! Prime Video is looking for a few cosplayers during Comic-Con. Could this possibly be a cosplay contest? No additional details just yet but make sure to follow Prime Video on Twitter for when they announce more.
- Artist Mary Bellamy will be bringing ALL the enamel pins to San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Some of the pins are exclusives from previous years as well. You can find Mary and all merchandise and artwork at #N-04 in Small Press.
- Looking to maybe get a signature or remark from a legendary comic book artist? How does Mark Silvestri sound? The one time Uncanny X-Men penciler and current CEO of Top Cow will be at San Diego Comic-Con with more details to follow.
- You know what’s cool? Getting a signature from writer Amy Chu. You know what’s even cooler? Getting a signature from writer Amy Chu while at the Cat Café San Diego! Don’t miss this Sky Island signing opportunity on Wednesday, July 20 from 4pm-6pm.
- You won’t have to go all the way to Green Hill Zone for artist Val Hochberg’s latest SDCC offering: a one of a kind piece featuring Sonic The Hedgehog, Tails The Fox, and Knuckles The Echidna. Find this piece and the rest of Val’s work at #N-12 in Small Press.
- Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore will be at Comic-Con and are delivering the goods. Mysterious Galaxy will have several author signings through out the entire weekend. You can see the entire lineup in our recently published article detailing each signing. Mysterious Galaxy can be found at Booth #1119 as well as the Autograph Area in Sails Pavilion.
- Glass artist Bling Squared Glass are bringing these lucky duckies to San Diego Comic-Con this month, featuring Lucky Duck in a raccoon onesie.

- Whale, hello there! Le Petit Elefant showed off a new Kore enamel pin available at Small Press #L-07.
