WonderCon Anaheim 2023 will be here before we know it, and we’ve got our first edition of WonderPost for this year’s convention primed and ready for you. Whether you’re looking for a new favorite artist, plant-themed puns, where to get a comic book graded, or plenty of familiar faces — we’ve got your WonderCon news right here.
Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:
- Artist Don Nguyen has been hard at work getting ready for this year’s WonderCon, where he’ll have several comics, including Cthulu Invades and Nightmare Theater. He may even be bringing some Upper Deck Marvel Artist Proofs — so stay tuned.

- Artist and illustrator Jung-Ha Kim couldn’t be more excited to be exhibiting at WonderCon this year, with what sounds like new art and more.

I haven't been to that con in foreverrrrr but the two times I've went it has been my favorite experiences! Can't wait to do it again!! (Hopefully with new art and merch!!)
- Priscilla Wilson, also known as Valor & Vellum, already announced that she’ll be getting a major upgrade at San Diego Comic-Con this year — but you can also catch her back at WonderCon this year, in Artists Alley.

- Visual development artist, character designer, comic creator, and puppeteer, David Wentworth, will be exhibiting at Artists Alley this year. Be sure to stop by and congratulate him on his biggest event yet, and pick up some amazing art.

- We’re going to plant some news on you: Joe Plant, a comic character with a strong environmental message, and his creator are heading to WonderCon Anaheim 2023 with new copies of Joe Plant: Origins, stickers, cards, and more. We’re rooting for you, Joe Plant!

- Jeprox is also joining the roster of artists who you’ll find at WonderCon’s stacked Artists Alley this year.
- The Part-Time Fan Boy Podcast is hittin’ the road to be a full-time (at least for the weekend of WonderCon) exhibitor. Announced in the comments of the post are that artist Dave Dwonch will also be exhibiting this year.
- You can catch Hyde Hermit Studio at several conventions this year, with their adorable pins, keychains, tote bags, and more. Luckily, WonderCon is on the list of cons they’ll be attending for 2023.

- Mark Evanier, comics and television writer as well as panel host extraordinaire, only has two conventions on his books for 2023, but the good news is that those two cons are San Diego Comic-Con and WonderCon. How many panels will Evanier host this year? We don’t know, but we’re excited to find out.
- Comic book writer P.A. Wikoff, author of Sleepwaking, will also be exhibiting at WonderCon this year.

- C&J Goods, craftmakers creating bespoke leather goods, will be bringing their wares to WonderCon this spring.
- Have a trading card or comic you need graded? CGC Trading Cards revealed on their site that CGC, CSG, CGC Trading Cards, and CGC Video Games will be onsite at WonderCon to accept your submissions for grading.
- Artist Ivan Fuentes is heading back to WonderCon this year, and you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for his commission list coming soon. If you have specific requests for what you’d like to see at this year’s show, you can also let him know on his Instagram.
