FOX Animated Series ‘Krapopolis’ Has “Plans” for San Diego Comic-Con 2023

Last year, the upcoming FOX animated series Krapopolis dominated over San Diego Comic-Con — quite literally, as it was splashed out across the Omni with a wrap that was impossible to miss.

The series, which hails from creator Dan Harmon and focuses on a family of humans, gods, and monsters living in a mythical ancient Greece, has yet to air, but it’s already been renewed for its third season, which shows FOX has faith that they’ve got a hit on their hands.

And it appears that they’ll be back at the con in some form, as the official Krapopolis Twitter account recently tweeted that fans should “stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for our plans at San Diego [Comic-Con]”.

As for what that means is still anyone’s guess. Last year’s panel included both Harmon and several of the voice actors, including Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows), Pam Murphy (Mapleworth Murders), and Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel). Although not in attendance last year, the series also features the voices of Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) and Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd). Another panel, perhaps with more of the cast, certainly feels likely.

In addition to the wrap and panel last year, the series also had a huge slide giant 70-foot slide in the Children’s Museum Park, where attendees could travel into the world of the series by going for “the ride of their life”, enjoying photo ops with characters from the series, and more.

FOX also partnered with Toddland to launch new merch for the series, at a dedicated Krapopolis booth offering tees, totes, pins, and more. There was also an autograph signing at the booth, featuring cast and producers.

Whatever the “plans” are for San Diego Comic-Con, we’re excited to learn more about the world of Krapopolis.
