Adrenalizing Media to Introduce NRCity Universe Franchise at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 [UPDATE July 17]

You belong to the city… NRCity, that is. Adrenalizing Media doesn’t just want to introduce you to their latest franchise; they want to put you in it. They want to bring you to Booth #2548 at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 for a chance to become a permanent resident of NRCity. From July 4 to July 14, you’ll have the opportunity to create a fun Instagram post for the opportunity to win:

The first issue of their inaugural comic series with an exclusive SDCC 2023 variant cover, NRCity Stories Extreme, titled “Chapter 0: A Painful Birth” signed by legendary artists Lucio Parrillo, Ralf Paul, and Eric “EEPMON” Chan, as well as NRCity‘s main lead actor Munolf Ri-Kus.
Exclusive NRCity Universe t-shirt, hoodie, cap, lanyard, and wristband plus head-of-the-line privileges for all NRCity signing sessions with artists and actors at Booth #2548.
The chance to participate in casting rounds for the forthcoming productions of the NRCity feature film and stories with the chance to become a recurring character in the series.

So, how do you enter? This is your chance to play the bad guy. No, really; Adrenalizing Media wants to see just kind of badass you can be for their main villain’s, Octavus Maximus von Kolba, organization “OMK”. They want you to create a video and post it to your Instagram feed with the hashtag #NRCityKillerFan showing off what you bring to OMK’s table. What type of villain would you be? What would you have for special skills? If you’re looking for inspiration, Adrenalizing Media highly recommends checking out Agent Aika episodes one through seven, which you can find on YouTube. Remember, OMK has created a huge army of diverse, highly skilled and deadly trained characters from around the world for his own personal agenda, so it’s important that you show off your diverse ideas about who these characters are and how they can kick ass. It’s about your creativity in how you act, dress up, and use the makeup that will make an interesting and well-defined character while at the same time, showing off the deadly skill of your “OMK Soldier”.

If you don’t win the grand prize, don’t be discouraged! Everyone who plays wins when they stop by Booth #2548 and show their Instagram post. They’ve got some awesome swag bags with some great merch from the NRCity Universe for you to take home with you.

Adrenalizing Media has added several signings and exclusive appearances to Booth #2548, starting with Nathan Jones from Thursday, July 20 – Sunday, July 23. The Australian actor has appeared in Troy, Mortal Kombat, Mad Max: Fury Road, and soon the upcoming Furiosa. He’ll be stepping into the vibrant NRCity® Universe franchise with a new character that fuses the best of Comics and Anime styles — and this is your chance to get a sneak peek of his exciting new character “OMK”. Join NRCity at Booth #2548 to learn more about his involvement, get photos, and get your memorabilia signed.

Then on Friday, July 21 to Sunday, July 23, actor Isaac C. Singleton Jr. will be on hand. Best known for his work in Deadpool, Pirates of the Caribbean, and for voicing Thanos in the Marvel cartoons and games, you can stop by to meet him in person at Booth #2548.

This is where it all begins! The first comic book out of the NRCity(R) Universe, NRCity Stories Extreme: A Painful Birth, is being released at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, with an exclusive variant cover. Issue #1 is Chapter 0 of the story, introducing you to the main character, Riko Stahl. Stahl is a resident of NRCity, a newly formed district in the central western part of Germany. With story by Markus Liedtke and pencils by Ralf Paul, the special Comic-Con exclusive has a unique cover art by Lucio Parrillo (Marvel, DC, Vampirella) and will cost $10. Lucio Parillo (together with Carla Cohen (DC, Dynamite, Image) and Ralf Paul will be at the booth 2548 to sign copies.

Adrenalizing Media is building their own universe, and they want you to be a part of it.

German media distributor Adrenalizing Media is flying into their first-ever San Diego Comic-Con this year and bringing and entire universe with them to Booth #2548. They’ve teamed up with Las Vegas-based 3DRetro to introduce the world to the universe of NRCity, a district set in present-day central western Germany. This metropolis is watched over by police officer Riko Stahl, a German military special forces operative assigned to the Battle Tank Prototype Division. He’s reminiscing about his life in NRCity four years ago with his brother, Arthur, and their love triangle with Jasmine “JAZZ” Zen led him down his path. Meanwhile, Octavus Maximus von Kolba is reacting to the new world order that’s sprung up and how it threatens his power.

The franchise begins with a comic book series, NRCity Stories Extreme, which will lead into a feature film, NRCity, tentatively scheduled for release in 2025. Legendary composer Vince DiCola (Transformers: The Movie, Rocky IV) and stunt master Andy Cheng (Rush Hour franchise, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) are among the Hollywood heavy hitters who have already signed on for the film project. This will lead into the streaming series NRCity Stories, which will continue the plot line introduced in the film.

NRCity Stories Extreme Issue #0: “A Painful Birth”

Every great universe begins with a comic book. Get acquainted with the NRCity Universe with the nascent issue of NRCity Stories, “A Painful Birth”. They’ll have limited copies available for purchase at the booth. Attendees will also have the chance to have their books signed by the artists: cover artist Lucio Parillo (Marvel Comics, DC Comics), Carla Cohen (DC Comics), Ralf Paul (Helden, Dorn, Spider-Man), and Eric “EEPMON” Chan (Marvel, Peanuts) as well as some of the cast from the upcoming film.

If that’s not enough, composer Vince DiCola is joining them at their booth for two days (which days are still TBD) for his very own first-ever San Diego Comic-Con. Get your 1980s nostalgia on when you talk about Rocky’s training montage in Rocky IV and everything Transformers. Of course, he’ll have his own merch available at the booth as well.
