San Diego Comic-Con 2024 Gaslamp Banners Appear [UPDATE]

Every year, the city of San Diego gets “dressed up” for San Diego Comic-Con, from building wraps, trolley wraps, and beyond. But one of the surest signs that San Diego Comic-Con is just around the corner is when the annual Gaslamp banners go up.

Over the last ten years, Marvel has typically been the sponsor of the banners, but they skipped last year, and that spot went instead to 20th Century Fox film The Creator.

With news that Marvel is back in Hall H, though, we’re glad to see that they’re back as this year’s banner sponsor as well. It shouldn’t be a big surprise that the banners go big on the upcoming The Fantastic Four film, with silhouettes of Reed Richards and Johnny Storm. The second banner features Sue Storm and Ben Grimm.

With The Fantastic Four set to start filming immediately after the convention, we’ll be shocked if Marvel doesn’t first gather the cast at San Diego Comic-Con for their Hall H presentation.

As first spotetd by Rob Paladino, our own Outside Comic-Con got a closer look.
