SDCC 2024 Programming Schedule: Saturday Highlights

It’s less than two weeks away from Comic-Con, and CCI is releasing the programming schedule for Comic-Con 2024 in its annual fashion. We’ll be bringing you the highlights of each day as they’re announced.

We’ll also be discussing our thoughts on this year’s lineup, including our top picks, room flow, and what time we think you should line-up in a special series of live podcasts this weekend. The first of which covered Thursday’s and Friday’s lineup, and the second segment — in which we break down Saturday and Sunday — will be on Sunday, July 14 at 6pm PT / 7PM ET.

With that said, let’s dive right into Saturday.

For movie fans, it’s all about one panel in particular — Marvel Studios. There’s no bigger panel happening at the con (there never is), and Saturday’s Hall H line-up is all leading up to the 6pm Marvel Studios panel. It’s going to be huge, and so is the line to get into it.

Outside of Marvel Studios though, you’ll find actor Keanu Reeves discussing his BRZRKR universe, which spans comics and an upcoming Netflix film, also in Hall H at 12:30pm. DreamWorks Animation is bringing along Lupita Nyong’o and Kit Connor for the animated The Wild Robot at 4pm in Room 6BCF. At almost the same time, you’ll also find Sean Astin, Madison Wolfe, and more for a first look at the upcoming thriller The Man in the White Van at 4:15pm in Indigo Ballroom. There’s also the Entertainment Weekly’s “Bold School” series, in which unnamed “power players” discuss their careers, but it coast boast some big names. And of course, Kevin Smith is back with his annual solo panel to close out Saturday Hall H at 7:30pm, which is just Kevin Smith doing Kevin Smith’s thing (and we love it).

You can also get a first look at the upcoming Hellboy: The Crooked Man with cast, directors, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola at 6:45pm in Room 6DE.

Celebrate 50 years of TROMA with director and president Lloyd Kaufman at 9pm in Room 25ABC (and could fans get a sneak peek into the new Toxic Avenger film?). Enjoy a screening of Sand Land! at 6:45pm in Room 6BCF.

Zach Snyder fans will want to head to Room 10 at 3:30pm for “Props of Rebel Moon“, for a look at original props from the Extended Snyder Cuts.

For TV lovers, Saturday offers another stellar line-up of panels. Of course, if you want to make it into any of the Hall H panels, you’re going to have to weigh the time commitment due to Marvel Studios. But they’ve got Superman & Lois for a final spin around the con at 11:15am, Star Trek Universe at 1:45pm with all of their series, and HBO’s The Penguin at 4:45pm.

Davies recording an extra-special episode of the official Doctor Who Podcast live at the Neil Morgan Auditorium. You’ll need more than a TARDIS to attend though — you’ll need to win a slot in the Online Exclusives Portal.

There’s plenty of TV in the other rooms as well, including Wynonna Earp in 6A, Star Trek showrunner Alex Kurtzman and Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. We aren’t kidding when we say we think Jack Quaid may be the busiest person at the con this year. You’ll also find him at 12:30pm in Room 6A on Audible’s Michael Connelly’s The Safe Man panel, along with Connelly himself. And speaking of audiobooks, you’ll also find Babylon 5 and Sense8 creator J. Michael Straczynski on hand to discuss his Earthlight being turned into a Penguin Random House Audio, at 8pm in Room 28DE. And of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention two of our favorite panels, back again as hosted by Mark Evanier: Quick Draw!, in which Scott Shaw!, Lalo Alcaraz, and Floyd Norman will draw what YOU challenge them to at 11:45am in 6BCF; and Cartoon Voices at 1pm in Room 6BCF in what is always a great time.
