Under the Tents 2024: James Silvani, Karen Hallion, X-Men ’97, Masked Republic

Today is July 1, which means (as we’ve been gleefully proclaiming all day), San Diego Comic-Con 2024 is this month. Hopefully, you’re as excited as we are, if not more, for this year’s con. If you aren’t, we have some SDCC 2024 news from artists James Silvani, Karen Hallion, and more that is sure to get you in the Comic-Con mood.

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • GenSeven Comics is inviting everyone to visit them at Booth #4804 for all kinds of exciting appearances, signings, and the premiere of the complete Daughters of Django saga.

  • Top Cow president and COO Matt Hawkins isn’t coming to SDCC 2024 alone; he’s bringing some friends with him to Booth #2629, and he can’t wait to see you.

  • Artist Joshua Middleton is bringing Mojo Jojo and a little Chemical X to Booth #4523 at San Diego Comic-Con in his SDCC-exclusive cover variant for The Powerpuff Girls #1.

  • Pro wrestler Matt Cardona may be down, but don’t count him out; he’s filling his summer schedule with convention appearances, and SDCC is on his list (after he watches his wife become Ms. Money in the Bank).

  • “To the Stars through Adversity.” Starfleet put it on a poster, and Ensign Boimler put it in his bunk. Hero Within teased a sneak peek at some Star Trek merch they’ll have at Booth #1943 on the Exhibit Hall floor during Comic-Con.

  • You’ve got three chances to see artist Shawn E. Russell at a convention this year, and SDCC is one of them. Find him in Artists’ Alley at Table #HH-05 with some of his beautiful artwork.
