It’s a brand new year, and that means we can now say that San Diego Comic-Con 2025 is this year. And with that, of course, means there’s plenty of news still to come for this year’s convention, including some recent updates on artists and companies who will be in attendance.
Here’s a look at what you might have missed:
- Popular toymakers, Four Horsemen Studios, are returning to San Diego Comic-Con after a few years away. They’re sure to be a popular spot for collectors.
- David Nakayama, a cover artist for Marvel, DC, Hasbro, and beyond, may not be at WonderCon this year, but you will find him at SDCC 2025. Rejoice!
- Artist Chris Maze is a busy guy — but he’s putting his energy into working ahead for San Diego Comic-Con 2025, with his second project now complete. We can’t wait to see this year’s line-up.
Second project for #SDCC 25 has been completed. This one is something I wanted to do for a few years now and let’s just say next year is an appropriate time to launch it. With a few projects on my plate, doing my best to get ahead with Comic-Con work.

- Wanting to get a jumpstart on your commissions this year? Artist Patrick Ballesteros revealed that he’ll be opening 25 spots this spring, around late March or early April. You’ll also find him back for his annual Pop-Up event before the con, on Tuesday, July 22 at Mnemonic Coffee from 3pm-6pm. Mark your calendars now!
Forgot to announce it but I am officially back in SDCC artist alley! For you planners here you go:

- One of our favorite artists, Martin Hsu, is returning to San Diego Comic-Con for a big anniversary… his 20th year! Be sure to stop by his booth to celebrate with him, and let him know your thoughts on an art book of his Ted Lasso Cats pieces for the con this summer.
3. 19 years of exhibiting at San Diego @Comic_Con ! So much love for all the friends I’ve made at my little 10 x 10’ booth like the @SD_Comic_Con team over the years. Can’t wait to celebrate my 20th #SDCC anniversary in 2025 with you! pic.twitter.com/INLj21JgWk

Sometimes it takes just one person to buy all my large #TedLassoCats paintings 👨🏻⚽️🐱 Here’s a crazy idea, how do we feel about a LTD art book of our fav #SDCC cats as a 2025 exclusive? 🐱🎨📚 pic.twitter.com/1z8HNyMPTf

- Karen Hallion’s booth in Artist Alley is always a must-stop destination — from her adorable pop culture pins, prints, and more, to her popular “She Series”. Good news — she’ll be back at the con, at her usual spot (and you’ll also find her at WonderCon).

- Vroom vroom! Jada Toys, best known for their diecast cars as well as their authentically licensed and highly stylized figures, is heading back to San Diego Comic-Con in July. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for fans this year.
- Be sure to catch illustrator Lauren Walsh at SDCC, as she’s been confirmed for the show.
- Artist Sean Murphy has a busy year ahead, but he’s made time for San Diego Comic-Con (as well as WonderCon).

- Artist Brianna Cherry Garcia is always a must-stop on our list at the convention (as well as one of our favorite people to get a commission from), so we’re very excited she’s heading back to SDCC this year.
- Artist and illustrator Gavin Smith, whose work includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek: The Mirror War, Dead Legends, and more, will be seeing you at SDCC. Not if we see you first, Gavin!
See y’all at SDCC this year.

- Another must-stop in Artist Alley for us is JYK All Day, who will be returning to the con this summer. And new, he may open a “small” commission list ahead of the con.
