Question Of The Week 2025 #4: What Is Your Favorite Con Snack?

This year, in an effort to feature more attendees, rather than featuring just one per week — we’re featuring lots of you! We’ll have a new question each week, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels for each week’s question. Without further ado let’s get into this weeks question:

Santiago

Argentina

I always love to try some of the convention chocolates!

It’s not a Comic-Con trip with out going to Sweet Things and trying something new!

Any pre-made sandwich for a quick lunch at the con is a lifesaver!

And does free food from offsites count? Because if it does, that too! And I know that is not a “snack” but I wanted to mention the “mac and cheese pizza” from Basic Bar & Pizza.

I have to go with the convention chocolate bars as the ultimate con snack. I try and get the set every year. That said, to save a bit of money, I’ve started making my own mixed nut/trail mix using sandwich bags. I prepare it before heading out to San Diego and it means I have a bag a day to keep me sat in B20 all day!

I feel like this picture truly captures the glamour and healthy decision-making that defines my SDCC experience 🙂 But seriously, tots rule.

Jim Young

We love the con candy bars.

Is beer a snack?!  Hopping on the Voodoo Ranger pirate ship first thing in the morning is always a great way to start the day.

Cheese and crackers!  Portable, protein, savory.

My favorite grab-n-go snacks for SDCC are pretzels, flavored nuts, or crackers, and we usually bring propel/tea mixes to add to water and, of course, the occasional Starbucks to keep me going.
My favorite offsite snack last year was too close to call: The Churros at Moxie’s Bordlands bar or the Lard Lad delicious donuts

I wear challenging costumes that are exhausting. If you ever see someone in a really cool costume and you want to do more than compliment them…. hand them an ice water with a straw. It’s the best gift/snack/anything we can receive.

Nothings beats a quick snack like the Sweet and Sassy trail mix, the Sweet & Sassy Peanut bar, and some cheese-filled (4 pack) crackers. I eat them when the energy level seems to get a bit low (almost impossible with that SDCC excitement) and it’s washed down with some good ol’ H2O (insert Waterboy joke here). Hopefully…the UBlog Cup o’ Water makes another appearance to quench our thirst.

RP

Fruit. Being the right fruit and it can quench your thirst and fill you up.

Born and raised in Southern California. Recently moved to Sin City, NV.
Anything free that doesn’t melt!!! Unfortunately, I don’t really have pictures of me eating said snacks.
I have a really bad pic from Paramount+ The Lodge, from last year. Holding my free pizza and drink. Been going on and off since 2010. So much free food throughout the years! Hamburgers, candy, ice cream, fries, pistachios (like a huge bag), and chimichangas.
I meet up with friends and have run into so any celebrities. Certainly, San Diego Comic Con is always a week full of surprises and I always meet new people.

I bring rice crispy treats in my bag.

Capt Cash

Scotch. Scotch, scotch scotch scotch. Down it goes into my belly.

Holly H

My favorite snack to have at SDCC is different types of trail mix. Can not wait less than two months to go!

Keith Foster

It just ain’t Comic-Con until I’ve had some Cali Cream homemade ice cream, Yum!
Scott Daigle
Drinks on any patio in the Gaslamp area during Con. Best people-watching ever!

We couldn’t let the readers have all the fun, so some of the team here at the Unofficial Blog wanted to get in on the action as well. Let’s see who some of their favorites are.

For years I barely ate at the con because I was just too stressed, all the time. Proud to say I am significantly less stressed these days (and less proud to say I eat significantly more). My favorites are the Mac and Cheese Pizza at Basic (which I literally called and BEGGED them to bring back last year during the con) and Sweet Things’ Dole Whip.

Auntie Anne’s of course!
