Whew! It’s been quite the day in the world of San Diego Comic-Con news. We got so many announcements from Funko, the first news on the return of Fandom’s rockin’ SDCC party, news of a two-day music festival from Crunchyroll, and more. But the crowd is always chanting “more!” and we are here to deliver.
Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:
- Let’s start this edition of Under the Tents off with some huge news: Nacelle will have a booth for the first time at the con, where they’ll have exclusives, signings, in-booth fan events, and more. The company — best known for their The Movies That Us, The Toys That Made Us, and other series from Netflix — have quickly become a source for creating great, nostalgic toys. We’re sure to get a look at all of that at their panels this year as well. Catch them on the show floor at Booth #2547.
- Comics artist and writer Daniel Warren has become a bonafide superstar — but that unfortunately does mean he no longer has time to offer up commissions at shows. However, Felix Comic Art shared that he’s bringing plenty of original art sketches to San Diego Comic-Con, so you’ll still be able to get your hands on an original piece by him.
Megatron original art sketch by @danielwarrenart! 9×12! For #Heroescon2025! Daniel no longer has time to draw at shows…BUT he WILL bring pre-drawn art! 22 pieces for Heroes! Hoping to match that for SDCC…including some surprises(?). Come see us EARLY! https://t.co/JxJMpgBPXm pic.twitter.com/jEPaZLbJ6t

- Artist Nellie Lê showed off some purr-fectly nerdy San Diego Comic-Con exclusives. She’s bringing over 50 original paintings to the con, available for under $100 each — many of which will be framed. Stop by #AA-23 in Artist Alley to claim your favorite.
- Do you love Brazilian Ju Jitsu? Do you love animals? Then you’re going to love Icon Heroes’ original creation — Zoo Jitsu Fighters. Artist Lord Mesa has created six enamel pins for the con this year, and while we’ll have to wait for the full reveal, we think you’ll go to the mat for this one.
Six fighters. One legendary artist.

- Crocheted critters don’t just magically appear — it takes a lot of work. And Mini Critter Drop has purchased a lot of yarn and craft material, so we can’t wait to see the full reveal on this one.
- Speaking of crochet, check out this tiny Pokeball at SDCC from Nifty Neuron (Psyduck for scale). Gotta catch ’em all!
#crochetDrop is back for year 6!
I made a shiny Pokeball because…gotta (bead) crochet 'em all!? Find this #Pokeball at #SDCC & it's yours! (Psyduck not included 😁)

- Cowabunga! Dis Liz teased some heroes in a half-shell action, heading to SDCC. While we don’t know full details yet (okay, we know full details, but you don’t know full details), it’s limited to 250 pieces, and you’ll just have to stay tuned for more.
- Are you ready to party with Yesterdays at Stone Brewing? Well, too bad for now — because full details are still TBA. They did show off this fun pin of Stone Brewing’s mascot/logo, we’re sure for no reason at all…

- Artist James Silvani continues his daily drop of original art for the con, this time with a Dinobot. Use your tiny arms to make your way over to Artist Alley #II-06 to make it yours.

- Artist Amy Mebberson hasn’t yet opened pre-con commissions for SDCC, but for a very good reason — she’s booked with other jobs! But she says she will do her “very best to make room”.
- Want to catch Cully Hammer (co-creator of Blue Beetle) at a con this year? Luckily, SDCC is on his 2025 convention schedule.
- Artist Zorilita has some tales to tell you — My Little Pony tales, that is. She’s bringing the official MLP comics she worked on to her table #N-04 in Small Press.
I'm having some issues with the portal, but I will have the official MLP comics I worked on at my table. They are limited in number, so be sure to stop by Zorilita Mary Bellamy Small Press N04 to get yours signed at the show. #sdcc @SD_Comic_Con pic.twitter.com/wmGUFDA4Vz

- Did you enjoy Funko’s many, many, many exclusives announcements today? Well, they’re maybe not quite finished… but only if you’re brave enough to search for clues will you find the answers (or, you know, you could wait until we post once we or someone smarter than us figures it out).
And that's a wrap on SDCC reveals…or is it?! We have uncovered some ancient artifacts amongst some ruins…Keep a lookout on Friday for a couple of special SDCC announcements! Fundays adventurers may be the first to discover them…#Funko #Fundays #SDCC pic.twitter.com/O0FPRrS1pn

- 2000 AD have some exciting news. Writer and director Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft, Mute) will be appearing at the con at the Rebellion Booth #2121 to meet fans and sign a limited number of hero images for Rogue Trooper, the upcoming film from Jones set on a distant planet where a brutal war has broken out.
- Geeky Jerseys — which is exactly what it sounds like — teased a look at an upcoming exclusive for the con. We are both intrigued and excited.
- Whether you’re in the Resistance or the Alliance, you can gear up with Denuo Novo at San Diego Comic-Con #2913-G and their high-end Star Wars helmets and collectibles.
- Trinity Comics teased a giant look at a Lee Bermejo piece heading to San Diego Comic-Con. We’ll have to stay tuned for more details.
- Artist Sean Forney also showed off a new exclusive, for Cos & Effect, which you’ll be able to pick-up from Sean’s Booth #EE-03 in Artist Alley. You can even pre-order the LE 25 comic now on his site for pick-up at the con.
- Heavy Metal has a rockin’ convention planned, with a panel set for Friday, July 25 with graphic novel co-creators Allen Ling, John Bruno, Sherman Augustus, and Ephraim Walker. You’ll also find plenty of exclusives.
- And finally today, the folks at Atomic Art and Music have unearthed a small selection of vintage burlesque and pin-up items they’ll be bringing with them to the con.
