If you’re anything like me, you’ve started to realize the complete existential dread that comes when you realize that San Diego Comic-Con 2025 is in two weeks. If all the SDCC news has you seeing stars, don’t worry; you’re just dreaming of all the stars at Comic-Con. Let’s not forget all the artists who pour their blood, sweat, and literal tears into their work every year, too. Let’s see what’s new with them, shall we?
Here’s a look at what you might have missed:
- Let’s start with some cute crochet critters from the Nifty Neuron. She caught all the Pokéballs and then some, so you can catch some around the Gaslamp during San Diego Comic-Con this year.
#crochetDrop I crocheted too many Pokeballs for Psyduck that they barely fit into his backpack, so I'm bringing them to #SDCC. Each ball will be dropped individually; find one & it's yours!

- It’s no secret we love author/illustrator Rhode Montijo’s all-cardboard booth (Booth #1329, by the way). He also knows how to train a dragon and share a sneak peek at his latest Fantasmical SDCC 2025 goodie.
- Superstar comic artist Ryan Ottley is busy whippin’ stuff up to bring with him to Comic-Con this year. Whip it, Ryan. Whip it good.

- It looks like Disney artist James Silvani is starting to feel weighed down by all the originals he’s bringing to Table #II-06 in Artists’ Alley for SDCC this year. Hang in there!
More Dangerous Jobs added to the original art pile on sale at SDCC. Grab your one-of-a-kind piece in artist alley at table ii-06! pic.twitter.com/JyB4LUd0cP

- AnZ Comics will be going berserk at BOOM! Studios’ Booth #2229 for San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with their BRZKR Packs, including cover variants from Derrick Chew, Ivan Tao, and Björn Barends, plus a Todd McFarlane toy variant.
- The California Browncoats are bringing their family-friendly Browncoats Board Game Night back to SDCC 2025 with plenty of Firefly-themed board games and maybe some prizes, too.
- FAME! Knight of Comics is gonna live forever (hopefully) with their second SDCC 2025 exclusive reveal featuring “The Man” himself, FAME: ROBERT DOWNEY JR, with artwork by Viktor Miller Gausa.
- Don’t get it twisted. Let cover artist Smunchy do that for you with his Cover B variant for Twisted Turtle he’ll have with him at Comic-Con this year.
- Premium Collectibles teased a little gothic number they may or may not have with them at Booth #329. Is that cherub sticking a horn up its nose? You can’t take your eyes off these darn kids for a minute.

- If you loved artist Ken Penders’ fold-out cover from KEN PENDERS’ KNUCKLES OMNIBUS, VOLUME ONE, you’re going to want to swing by Table #P-02 in Small Press during Comic-Con this year, where he’ll have a full-sized 16″ x 32″ print available.
If you've purchased a copy of KEN PENDERS'. KNUCKLES OMNIBUS VOLUME ONE, you've seen how great the foldout cover images are. I'm now unveiling them as 16" x 32" prints that will soon be available @Comic_Con and my website store https://t.co/th3Cf5Ua86 . Check it out! pic.twitter.com/zxwRKMNkMt

- Captain Bucky O’Hare reporting for duty, sir! He’s deploying to Booth #1537 and stationed at the San Diego Convention Center with commanding artist Alex Deligiannis, temporarily attached to San Diego Comic-Con 2025. And don’t call me “sir”; I work for a living.
Some process shots from last night of Captain Bucky O’Hare, currently in progress. Green laid down a little darker than I expected, but problem solving is part of the fun of working with real materials. Original available at Comic-Con in two weeks, Booth 1537. #sdcc #SDCC2025 pic.twitter.com/ooxKN7IufD

- Experience mountain living (sort of) at Paramount+’s Booth #3529, where they’re bringing the Paramount+ Mountain Experience, including a dual claw machine filled to the brim with Paramount+ merch. In my opinion, the only thing that would make this more exciting would be if Sir Patrick Stewart himself greeted you with Paramount+’s new “Peak the Plushie” and saying, “Throw the child.” IYKYK.
- We have some GOD TIER-level news: Swing by Mad Cave Studios’ Booth #2806 on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 3:00pm PT to 4pm PT, where GOD TIER author Mario B. Long will be signing copies of his work.
- Former director of programming and publications for Comic-Con, Gary Sassaman, is getting into the Fantastic Four spirit that will be prevalent over SDCC this year with his panel, “Tales From My Spinner Rack LIVE!”, where he’ll be joined by fellow comic legends Mark Evanier and John Morrow to reminisce over the classic Jack Kirby Fantastic Four covers. Find a seat in Room 9 on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 12pm-1pm and enjoy.
