In just a few short days we’ll be able to say one of our favorite phrases… “WonderCon is next month”. But we aren’t there quite yet, so until then, we’ve got plenty of updates to tide you over, including some beast-ly artwork, comic exclusives, new collections dropping, your Masquerade intermission entertainment, and much more.
Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:
- Would you like to help out budding animators? The 24 Hours Animation Contest for Students is seeking in-person booth volunteers at the con. To apply, visit here by February 27 at 11:59pm PT.
- Tale as old as time… Ivan Illustrations is inviting you to be his guest at #F-17 in Artist Alley, where he’ll have this new killer Beauty and the Beast artwork of The Beast in all his glory.
- Little Red Riding Hood is all grown up in Scarlett Huntress, a modern-day take on Little Red Riding Hood from artist Sean Forney. In this WonderCon exclusive ashcan, she comes face to face with Wendigo. Be sure to stop be #E-23 in Artist Alley to pick up a copy (LE 35) from Forney and Jamie Snell.
I will have an exclusive Scarlet Huntress meets Wendigo ashcan at Wondercon 2026. It will be available at my artist alley table E-23 and a few are available for preorder on my store. https://t.co/rmgbWwetqi

- But Forney isn’t anywhere near done, as he also showed off his “Do You Pooh” WonderCon exclusive “Classic X-Men” homage cover. It will be available in trade, virgin, holofoil, leathers, and metals — and you can pre-order now for show pick-up.

- Can’t wait for the official WonderCon programming schedule? It should drop mid-March, but until then, anime doll fans and collectors can add the panel “Hey! Is That an Anime Doll?” to their schedule on Sunday, March 29.
- Cats don’t have names, but we’re still naming this new officially licensed Coraline collection from Spookiesboo “very exciting”. Stop by Booth #48 and #365 to check out the new collection at WonderCon.

- Artist Alex Iniguez is bringing his own original art spin on a certain cantina standout to WonderCon with his latest Fettuary entry, “Garsa Fwip.”
- The Force will be strong in the WonderCon Masquerade this year, as Temple Prime, Skywalker, Jedha, and Concordia take the stage for the 2026 Intermission Show for a special performance.
- Illustrator Dave Law is showing off a brand spankin’ new panel of his upcoming book headed to WonderCon, created with Justin Giampaoli and Arthur N. Ebuen for Studio 12-7.

- The Golden Apple Comic and Art Foundation is heading to WonderCon with a major offering for collectors: a newly donated collection of Marvel UK Silver Age comics making their first convention appearance. The assortment includes key issues, runs, and single issues, all individually priced and available for purchase.

- Author Brandon T. Bernard is bringing his Mad World: Wonderland Saga to WonderCon this year at Booth #1208, where you’ll not only get to pick up the books in the grim retelling of the classic tale, but also to meet the actors who inspired the characters in the series.
@authorbtb Special announcement! I will be attending WonderCon as an indie author. Stop by and check out the mad world book series. #books #booktok #authortok #bookevents #wondercon ♬ Bach unaccompanied cello suite “Prelude” – Jianteng
- Fernweh Creatures, the queer-owned company focused on hand made creature creation, are bringing a little mystery to the con. Explore their booth and pick up your own Mystery Creature Box to bring home a new little friend.

And in addition to all of those, here are a few other vendors and exhibitors who will be attending the convention:
- Artist Brianna Cherry Garcia
- Artist Sara Morrison
- Gibby’s Comics
- Jordydraws
