The world’s first immortal rock star is back on stage. The Vampire Lestat, the upcoming third season following the first two seasons of Interview with the Vampire, is turning up the volume ahead of its next chapter with the debut of “All Fall Down,” the second official rock single from the upcoming season centered on Lestat de Lioncourt.
Performed by Sam Reid and written by series composer Daniel Hart, the track has launched across major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. It follows the earlier single “Long Face,” with additional songs expected in the months leading up to the season’s premiere on June 7 on AMC and AMC+.
According to Hart, “All Fall Down” represents an early era for Lestat’s band, before the immortal frontman began shifting personas and experimenting with different sounds. Influenced by glam and classic ’70s rock — think Bowie and T. Rex — the track captures a rawer, wilder version of the character that fans will see throughout the season.
“At the same time, with ‘All Fall Down’, we tried to capture the overall feeling of this new Lestat we get to know better and better throughout the season: more wild, more raw, more self-deprecatingly funny than ever before,” said Hart
Lestat himself had a slightly different take on the song’s runtime. “’All Fall Down’ is mercifully only 68 seconds long. That’s 54 seconds more Daniel Hart than anyone should suffer. I like the harmonies on the chorus. I did those,” the immortal rocker said.
Fans also got their first look at the season’s new opening title sequence, which features the track front and center.
The upcoming season leans fully into the rock-and-roll persona of Lestat, who takes his band on an electrifying multi-city tour while confronting ghosts (both literal and figurative) from his chaotic past. As the band’s fame grows, so does Lestat’s influence over both vampires and humans, unfolding against the backdrop of the “Great Conversion,” an unnatural surge in the vampire population.
The newly released teaser remains light on plot details, but that hasn’t stopped fans from sinking their fangs into every frame, dissecting even the smallest clues about what’s to come.
Lestat on tour? Check. Sam Reid absolutely nailing this song and the embodiment of Lestat de Lioncourt? A million checks. Bowling being front and center? Apparently check (and justice for Eric Bogosian and the one talking point they clearly gave him at San Diego Comic-Con). The Vampire Armand? CHECK, even if only for .0005 seconds, the point is he is here.
If the season follows the rumored seven-episode structure, it would air from June 7 through July 19, just days before San Diego Comic-Con. Traditionally, that timing might mean a show skips the convention circuit, but AMC has consistently invested in a strong presence for Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe at SDCC, even in years when this series was between seasons.
We think it’s very likely they’ll still be at the con, and with the full season likely out by then, it should give the cast (which includes Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle) and creators (which includes creator and showrunner Rolin Jones and executive producer Mark Johnson) plenty to discuss about the making of The Vampire Lestat.
