In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room…
If you’re looking to trade the convention floor for something a little more tropical during San Diego Comic-Con, the Omni San Diego Hotel is once again hosting Tiki Social, a limited-time summer pop-up bar created in collaboration with legendary tiki historian and cocktail author Jeff “Beachbum” Berry.
Running from May 25 (Memorial Day) through September 7 (Labor Day), the experience transforms participating Omni hotel bars including the Omni San Diego with bamboo, thatch, flowers, and other nods to tiki culture. They will once again offer a curated menu of eight island-inspired cocktails and several alcohol-free options.
Highlights include the Coconutty Islander (served in a fresh coconut), the Tropical Tease (blending tequila, mezcal, and raspberry), the Omni Zombie, (a potent mix of rums, lime, cinnamon, and falernum), and the Mai Tai Have Another (a playful twist on the classic). Non-alcoholic offerings include the Designated Diver, Dry Tai, and Baby Blue Hawaii.
The pop-up is open to both hotel guests and the public daily from 11am-8pm. And according to Forbes, guests receive a complimentary recipe booklet so they can recreate the tropical magic at home.
We know where you’ll find us at Comic-Con this year.

Here is a look at last year’s event:, which was located on the sixth floor of the hotel:
