Craniacs is Sending You On A San Diego Comic-Con Quest

The creators of Craniacs, Joe Simko and Ira Friedman, are inviting San Diego Comic-Con 2026 attendees to venture forth on an epic quest that will take them from the stone-age (Retrovia) to the future (Futerra) and all around the exhibit hall.

Make no “bones” about it, you’ll have to work hard to “hunt and gather” your bounty by visiting four different Craniacs partners to collect four specially created trading cards, featuring art by the incomparable Simko. Cards will be available each day of the convention from Thursday through Sunday, only while supplies last.

  • Mark’s Non-Sports Cards (Booth #5610)
  • CGC Grading (Booth #5500)
  • Simon & Schuster Publishing (#1128)
  • Titan Comics (#5537)

You’ll be able to delve further into the Craniacs at world, before or after you’ve completed your “hunt” with several opportunities to meet co-creator Joe Simko and learn more about the Craniacs universe.

On Saturday, July 25, from 1:30pm-2:30pm, Simko will be signing the brand new Craniacs trade paperback at the Titan Comics Booth #5537. This book collects the first four issues of the debut mini-series comic, with bonus material and a brand new cover image.

On Sunday, July 26, Simko will again be signing, this time at the CGC Grading Booth #5500, at 11am.

Over at Mark’s Non-Sports Trading Cards (Booth #5610), they will have limited stock of Series 1, 2 and 3 of the Craniacs trading cards, as well as a special gift-with-purchase.

Finally, you can set your eyes on the upcoming middle-grade book series, “Create Your CRANIACS Quest”, written by Goosebumps creator R.L. Stein. Simon & Schuster Publishing (Booth #1128) will have advance copies of the first two books in the series on display. Escape From the Chrome Dome and Attack of the Rhinobino will be released on August 25.

Craniacs was created by Ira Friedman, former senior executive with Topps, and Joe Simko, lead artist of the Garbage Pail Kids.
