Looking for a place to recharge between panels, exclusive hunting, and Gaslamp adventures? Pendry San Diego is embracing San Diego Comic-Con weekend with a trio of special activations, bringing bagels, Spider-Man, and donuts to attendees just steps from the San Diego Convention Center.
Throughout the convention, visitors can fuel up at the PopUp Bagels Volkswagen bus parked just outside the hotel. From Thursday, July 23 – Sunday, July 26, visitors can stop by from 7am until sold out, to pick up PopUp Bagels’ highly sought-after, fresh-baked bagels alongside plain and scallion shmears. For those needing a quick, convenient breakfast stop before hitting the show floor, it’s the perfect option.
On Saturday, July 25, the Pendry’s Nason’s Beer Hall will host a special activation celebrating Sony Pictures’ upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. From 12pm-3pm, guests can enjoy Tom Holland’s non-alcoholic beer brand, BERO, served in exclusive Spider-Man: Brand New Day-themed cans available only during the event. The activation will also feature immersive photo opportunities and appearances by Spider-Man (which we’re assuming is a guy in a Spider-Man costume, and not, y’know, Tom Holland himself). The event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, with BERO samples available for guests 21 and older.
Meanwhile, those with a sweet tooth can stop by Provisional from Thursday, July 23 – Sunday, July 26 beginning at 7am for a rotating selection of character-themed donuts from the Donut Bar. The specialty treats will be served alongside Provisional’s usual lineup of pastries and savory breakfast offerings.
