Dogu Publishing / Stan Sakai San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Exclusives [UPDATE July 19]

Dogu Publishing, the official publishing home of legendary Usagi Yojimbo creator Stan Sakai, returns to San Diego Comic-Con with exclusives, signed memorabilia, and more. Founded to support Sakai’s creative legacy and expand the world of Usagi Yojimbo, Dogu has quickly become a cornerstone for fans of independent comics and premium collectible that honor both craftsmanship and storytelling. Find them back again at booth #4807.

For those not at the convention, pre-orders are now open for August shipping. No convention pick-up is available.

Dogu Publishing is blending the world of Chibi Usagi with the debut of its Chibi Usagi Hanafuda Art Card Set, a four-card collection featuring Usagi, Jei, Tomoe, and Spot, illustrated by Eisner Award-winning artist Julie Sakai.

Inspired by the traditional artwork found on hanafuda playing cards, the set combines the charm of Chibi Usagi with one of Japan’s oldest artistic traditions. Created as both a collectible and a celebration of Japanese culture, the SDCC edition features a classic hanafuda-inspired presentation and will be available in limited quantities throughout the convention.

If trading cards are your thing, you’ll want to make stopping by the Dogu booth, #4807, each and every day of San Diego Comic-Con to collect all five of their exclusive cards.

A new card will be available each day, starting on Thursday at the booth, FREE with any $20 purchase. A fifth, surprise mystery card, will be available only on Saturday at the Usagi Yojimbo panel in room 24ABC at 12:30pm.

[Update July 16]

Stan and Julie Sakai have announced their panel and signing schedules for San Diego Comic-Con. In addition to signing at the Dogu booth, they will also be signing at the Dark Horse booth (Thursday) and the IDW booth (Friday).

The Dogu booth, #4807, will also be hosting creators of Usagi Yojimbo: Kaitō ’84, Jared Cullum & Zack Rosenberg on Thursday and Friday, as well as a “surprise signing” on Saturday.
