Canadian fine artist Jason Edmiston has been exhibiting at San Diego Comic-Con since 2011 and working in commercial illustration since 1996. He traditionally works in acrylic, painting on wood.  His clients include Square Enix, Hershey, Mad Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and Nike.

Some of Jason’s most popular paintings are from his “Eyes Without a Face” series. These paintings are life size renditions of a person’s or a character’s eyes, and the subjects range from movie characters, Muppets, robots, villains, heroes, historical figures, musicians, and everything in between. The prints made from these original paintings are highly coveted and collectible, with low print runs and affordable price tags that make them attractive to collectors as well as fans.

For San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Jason will be back at booth #4617 with plenty of new prints and gems from the archives.

It’s fair to say that Curry Baker’s 2025 film Obsession has us all, well, for lack of a better word, obsessed. The supernatural – horror filmed was created with a budget of only $750,000 but has now become the seventh highest grossing film for 2026.

“Obsession is my favorite horror movie of 2026 so far, and it really stuck with me,” shared Jason Edmiston, “I analyzed it over and over with my friends, discovering new details each time. This piece was a fun challenge for me, as I wanted to capture Nikki’s subtle, crazed expression towards the climax of the film. Smiling like an alien would smile, all the facial muscles in the right place, but devoid of emotion. Flat, dead eyes without actual love.”

Initially the object of, and then the bestower of the titular “Obsession,” Nikki, as portrayed by Inde Navarrette, is the subject of this San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Eyes Without a Face print by Jason Edmistion. “Not Me” is 9” x 5” and limited to a small edition of 125 copies, each of which is signed and numbered.
