Once again Headlocked Comics and Masked Republic will be tag teaming to take on San Diego Comic-Con. Both brands will be represented at booth at Booth 1901, with exclusives comics, legendary guests and special events you won’t want to miss.

The mysterious trio known as Los Hermanos Calavera, creators of the animated series Rey Mysterio vs The Darkness, will be making a pit stop on the way to their previously announced panel on Saturday, July 25.
The Headlocked Comics / Masked Republic booth, #1901, will host them for a very special meet and greet on Saturday, July 25 from 10am until 12pm. Fans will be able to shop some rare merchandise, view the animation artwork and learn more about the series, which was more than a decade in the making and done in close collaboration with the WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Rey Mysterio.
Later that day, attendees of the panel, at 6:30pm in Room 5AB, will be the first in the United States to publicly screen the series. Just one more step in their goal for worldwide domination, after their successful Top 10 debut on HBO Max in their home of Mexico. The incomparable Rey Mysterio will be joining them at the panel to give his own impressions as Executive Producer.
A trailer for Rey Mysterio vs The Darkness will debut on July 21, while the first episode, “Enygma,” in both Spanish and English, will drop on July 26 on the official YouTube channel @ReyMysterioVsTheDarkness.

Masked Republic’s next guest announcement is a second generation lucha who has tasted championship gold in every promotion he’s been a part of. Hijo del Fantasma, FKA Santos Escobar and King Cuerno, is making his very first appearance of the summer at San Diego Comic-Con, joining Masked Republic / Headlocked Comics at booth #1901, on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 from 12pm – 2pm.
Fans can meet the former CMLL, AAA, Lucha Underground and NXT/WWE star, get photos taken and shop Merch, including a very special limited edition art print by Doug Hills.

Masked Republic’s first announcement is actually several announcements in one. First, on Friday, July 24, Luchadores vs Everything designer Jeffrey Everett and renowned artist Brian M. Viveros will be signing at 2pm. The first 100 people to attend the free signing will receive a free, limited edition, numbered collaboration print. Attendees who also pre-order a copy of the 590-page hardcover Luchadores vs Everything ($75) will also receive a free bonus sticker pack.
The highly successful crowdfunded Luchadores vs Everything hardcover is a comprehensive exploration of the history of the lucha libre film genre, often described as the first true cinematic universe, decades before Marvel and other modern franchises.
Everett will also be a panelist on Thursday, July 23, alongside Masked Republic President & Publisher Kevin Kleinrock, on “Headlocked Comics & Masked Republic: Taking Wrestling Beyond the Ring” in Room 10 at 6:30pm.
