Under The Tents 2026: Priscilla Wilson, Limited Run Games, Rascal Randy, Jason Edmiston, Thrilljoy, Handmade by Robots

Things are really starting to get into the nitty gritty. News is coming in super fast. Lots of it.

Daily.

Hourly.

Minutely.

While SDCC time is a grand one, my original love for this time of the year is Big Brother. I haven’t even had the opportunity all day to go and learn all about the houseguests that were announced today. So that means I really do care about getting the news out to the interwebs. You should all feel super lucky.

That’s okay though, I will catch up on all my Big Brother stalking, I mean learning, later tonight after I also watch my other guilty pleasure trash show, Love Island. Hooray for mindless trash television!

Here’s a look at some of the things you may have missed if you were doing reality TV learning instead of SDCC learning:

  • Artist Danny Trang is doing the very important prep for Comic-Con by sharing a sneak peek at some painted minis that will be available at his Table #H-05.

  • In the day and age where so much is becoming strictly digital and game companies no longer want to release physical media (I’m side-eyeing you, Sony), it’s nice that there are a few still out there that know how important the physical stuff is. Limited Run Games, which was founded and is based in my state of North Carolina, wants you to pick up an exclusive variant physical copy of Capcom Arcade Stadium Vol 1 at their Booth #536.

  • Back in my college days I took a class called “The History of Hollywood Horror” and watched a 1977 film from director Dario Argento titled Suspiria; a fun little horror movie about a German ballet company that has something far more sinister happening behind the scenes. While that movie technically has nothing to do with the news I’m about to share, my tangent was initiated because artist Suspiria Vilchez announced that she will be attending the convention at Booth #4401 with another artist, Michael Alexandropoulos. Unfortunately, her cat Ripley Mingus will not be joining though.

  • Do you like statues? Are you a fan of action figures and all things similar? Then you’ll be excited for this news. Infinite Statues, in conjunction with Kaustic Plastik, announced that they will be attending this year. We will be getting sneak peeks and exclusives in the coming days, so be sure to stay tuned to their socials for all the news.

  • Eric Esquivel, who wrote The Fame: Satoshi Tajiri, shared that it will be getting four new variant connecting covers by Matthew Waite & Collector Cave. They combine to form an homage to Jim Lee’s X-Men #1 cover from 1991. You will be able to find them at Booth #1343.

  • I love all things cute and cuddly. Especially cute and cuddly things with their tongues hanging out; I mean have you ever not instantly smiled when seeing a cat or a dog sitting slightly dazed with their tongue hanging out of their mouths? (If you said no to this, then I have some follow-up questions for you). Tom the Lizard is absolutely no exception. Nifty Neuron, crocheter extraordinaire, wants you to find Tom during the con. Make sure to set up alerts so you’re the first to know about the drops.

  • While I did say I loved all things cute and cuddly, I’m not sure that a psycho rabbit with a knife is included, but I’m also not counting it out. Jonboy Meyers shared his exclusive for Rascal Randy #1. There are a total of 500 up for grabs, with 100 available for pre-order right now.

  • And if that cover of Rascal Randy wasn’t enough for you, then good news, I have another. “You get a Rascal Randy, you get a Rascal Randy, everyone gets a Rascal Randy“. Did I say Rascal Randy enough? Maybe one more time … rasc, nah, I’ll spare you. This one comes courtesy of Garrett Gunn, Hive Comics, and Knight of Comics.

  • Calling all Kill Bill fans! Jason Edmiston will be bringing his abstract version of the Kill Bill poster to the show. The more art I look at, the more I realize how untalented I am.

  • Thrilljoy teased five different pictures for what will be coming. I’m clearly not on my best guessing game because I can only definitively name what one will be, and that’s the last one in the carousel, which appears to be our favorite little vulgar vomity girl, Regan from The Exorcist. The other teases include a button, some boxing gloves, Michael’s Secret Stuff, and a portal. Can you guess what they will be?

  • Everyone loves a scavenger hunt, especially on the convention floor amongst the thousands, and 247 Comics are giving the people what they want. The TOKYOPOP TRADING CARD HUNT will take place across the floor. Basically, they will hide six exclusive trading cards at different partner booths around the convention floor. Once you find all of them, snap a picture with the full set, then come back to the 247 booth to redeem an advance copy of their First Look #1 – Fall Edition with a cover by Godtail. Then if you post your selfie to Instagram and tag them, you are entered to win the grand prize. Very fun stuff.

  • 247 Comics also revealed their third exclusive cover for Anderson Carman’s new original series Cyber League. This exclusive ashcan features cover art by renowned Filipino artist MANIX, and will be available in standard and foil editions. These will be available at Booth #1837.

  • Thunder Bay Press shared some incredibly cute things that they will have this year, including a Haunted Mansion crochet kit that creates 12 happy haunts and a Mandalorian Grogu sticker book. If only I knew how to crochet, then I could buy that kit and also have drops at the con next year. You can find them at Booth #1117.

Stay tuned for more details!

  • This is probably the droid you are looking for, especially if you are a big Star Wars collectible collector, or if you’re just a fan of the Handmade By Robots line of figures. They announced a convention exclusive Electroplated C-3PO, limited to just 1,500 units worldwide. Once they are gone, they are gone, so you have to be quick to get your hands on one.

  • Artist Ethan Castillo shared a brand new Spider-Man drawing that will be available in 17″x11″ prints in two colorways during the convention. Perfect timing to go in conjunction with the movie.

  • Materia Music has not one, but two event exclusive vinyl albums that you will be able to pick up. The first titled NieR: Glory to Mankind ROZEN + REVEN -Blue, which includes Hybrid Orchestral Pop arrangements of the music from the game NieR: Automata. The duo of Rozen and Reven have teamed up again to create this collaboration of songs. The second album, titled Symphonic Journeys: Pokémon Red & Blue – Yellow includes a majestic orchestral tribute to the timeless music of the original Pokémon games. They are available for $39.99 each.

  • Ronin Club Collectibles announced a couple of their guests. Linda Young is a legendary voice actress best known as the original English voice of Frieza in Dragon Ball Z. John Burgmeier is an acclaimed voice actor, ADR scriptwriter, and director best known as the English voice of Tien Shinhan in the Dragon Ball franchise and Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho. They will be at Booth #1907. Keep an eye on socials for times and more details.

  • Broadcast Music Inc. shared that BMI Composers behind the iconic characters of Pikachu and Darth Maul will be on a panel titled “Thematic Tunes: From Star Wars to Pokémon”. Check it out on July 23rd in room 6A from 4:15-5:15 to find out what it takes to score these fan-favorite franchises.

  • Scott Shaw announced that art wizard Joe Phillips has been hard at work and loving it on his new Grenn & Barrett comic book. We love puns here! Based on the frames shared, you can really tell that a lot of love has gone into it. Look out for it at Artist Alley.

  • Flesk Publications shared that Geof Darrow and Terry Dodson will be on hand all five days to do signings at booths #5016 and #5019 respectively. Keep an eye out for specific times as we get closer to time.

  • While I’m not 100% sure what this is. Is it a print? Is it a figure? Whatever it is it seems like it could be something pretty cool. Underverse HQ and artist Ashley Wood teased an exclusive Dirtie Deeds Bertie MK9. It will be available at booth #2742 but hopefully we find out what it is soon.
