You may notice that as San Diego Comic-Con 2026 gets closer, the UBlog Staff gets a lot sillier. Most of that is due to lack of sleep (I think Kerry averages about two hours a night) with a healthy sprinkle of staring at a computer screen all day. Luckily, we’re a great team, and we’re all here to support each other (thanks, Erin, for your paranoia earlier today).
With that said, please enjoy this Under the Tents full of awesome SDCC news for today.
Here’s a look at what you might have missed:
- When I was a kid, we had these things called “Shrinky Dinks.” They were basically plastic resin we colored in and baked in the oven to shrink them down. Yes, my seven-year-old self was operating an oven (and I didn’t even blow up the house once). The heat caused them to shrink down into standees we could play with until our parents ran them over with the vacuum. Penelope “Peng-Peng” Gaylord’s gorgeous standees for her new character, Pan, she’ll have at Artists’ Alley Tables #AA-17/#AA-18 during SDCC 2026 harken back to those Shrinky Dinks, except they’re colored much better and probably not toxic. These are just the first step to making this stunning character a figure, so be sure to tell her how much you love these.

- Wait! Don’t leave just yet. Peng-Peng isn’t just bringing standees of Pan with her to Tables #AA-17/#AA-18 during SDCC this year. She’s debuting her collaboration with Jerry Gaylord, Pan and the Lost Girls, at Comic-Con this year, too. As an added bonus, if you buy her book and/or one of her Pan Shrinky Dinks… er, standees, she has some free stickers for you to say thanks for supporting her work.

- Have you taken a sneak peek at the creepy, adorable goodies author and illustrator Rhode Montijo has been sharing on his Instagram page? You’ll find these adorable Halloween-themed coasters he’s bringing with him to Booth #1329 at San Diego Comic-Con this year.
- Â Oh, that’s not even close to all he’ll have at Booth #1329 during SDCC 2026. You’ll also find a very friendly-looking trick-or-treating ghost candle holder.
- There’s nothing basic about Montijo’s “Living That Pumpkin Spice Life” keychain he’s also bringing to Booth #1329 during Comic-Con this year.
- If adorable spookiness is totally your thing, first of all, I salute you. Second, you’ll also want to stop at designer Britnee Braun’s Booth #1320 to admire this gorgeous Spooky Kittens Skirt she’ll have with her at Comic-Con this year.
- I’m Sticker Riiick! You won’t be able to take your eyes off of artist Axel Ortiz’s Rick and Morty stickers he’ll have at Booth #4632 during SDCC this year.
- Manga publisher Kodama is bringing some limited edition merch with them to Booth #3735 at Comic-Con this year. First up, we have their SDCC 2026 Limited Edition Sun-Ken Rock t-shirt.
- Next, they’re also celebrating the 35th anniversary of Baki the Grappler with this SDCC 2026 Limited Edition 35th Anniversary Baki t-shirt to Booth #3735 at the con.
- Just in case you thought Kodama was all t-shirts, they’re adding to the Baki-nalia with their commemorative SDCC 2026 Limited Edition 35th Anniversary Baki the Grappler sticker they’ll have at Booth #3735 during San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
- Sketchboooks! Get your sketchboooks heeeere! They’re black and white. They’re 34 pages. They’re signed. They’re limited to 100 pieces. And… they’re at artist Salvador Velázquez’s Table #EE-12 in Artists’ Alley at Comic-Con this year. (Psst! Hey, it’s me, the Commish, reminding you that you can still order a pre-con commission from him. Just sayin.)

- Disney artist and animator Tricia Buchanan-Benson is bringing a slice of Disneyland’s Tiki-Tiki-Tiki Lounge to Booth #5628 during SDCC 2026 with her gorgeous bag charms, which I’ll definitely be picking up for Mrs. Commish this year.
- There’s something about Wonder Woman in Trinity Comics’ SDCC 2026 exclusive Absolute Wonder Woman #20 with cover art by JeeHyung Lee that I just can’t put my finger on. It’s like she’s glowing. She has this sort of glow you can only see in the dark. They’re also limited to just 899 signed and sequentially numbered pieces with COA at Booth #5553, so get there early.
- Well done, Comic-Comrade! You’ve discovered the Pawsmonauts who will be touching down at Table #G-9 during the San Diego Comic-Con this year. Mention the secret word known only to KGB inner circle (“STARCHART”) to be awarded your free Ground Crew ID Badge before Party finds out.
- Gerry Draws. See Gerry draw. See Gerry draw at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. See everything Gerry Draws drew for Booth #5030 at SDCC this year in his helpful Instagram catalog.
- A scenic train ride can often be inspiring for creatives. It certainly seems to have inspired artist Le Petit Elefant to work on something she’s been meaning to make – a BTS-inspired “Into the Sun” print she’ll debut at Small Press Table #L-08 during Comic-Con this year.

- Voice actors Adam McArthur, Zeno Robison, and Stephanie Kerbis want to hang out with you during SDCC 2026. More accurately, they want to give you the chance to hang out with them during SDCC 2026, for McArthur’s annual “Super Awesome Boba Meetup”. Watch out for tickets to this event to release sometime this Monday, July 20.

- While it’s highly unlikely AMC Theatres will be allowed to serve popcorn in Booth #3945 at Comic-Con this year, they are bringing some fun merch and collectibles with them to the con.

- We’ve all been there. Walking around the Exhibit Hall during Comic-Con with way too much stuff. Sure, you can use your SDCC 2026 bag, and even your backpack, but they get full fast. Swing by Booth #2148 to visit Matsumoto Art and grab their SDCC 2026 exclusive key charm and large tote set to help you carry all of your con swag in style.
- It’s going to be hot during SDCC this year, so Underverse is bringing a little something to cool us off — an SDCC 2026 Exclusive Ashley Wood Snow K Bear Art Charm – to Booth #2742. Only 50 of these charming art charms will be available for $25 each only at the con. Sorry, folks, but they’re limited to only one per household.
- Underverse will also be debuting T.P. Louise’s Isobelle Pascha 3.75″ Adventure Series figurine featuring three collectible outfits at Booth #2742 during the con this year. Unlike their art charm, however, this is not an SDCC 2026 exclusive and will be able for the public to pre-order starting Monday, July 27 at 7pm PT.
- Artist Kevin Meinert will have a limited number of 5″x7″ matted hand-drawn original art sketches available at Table #EE-13 in Artists’ Alley at San Diego Comic-Con this year. There will be a variety of characters ranging from Horror to Comic Books and everything in-between. At only $35 each, they will go fast, so stop by first thing each day to get the best options.
