Under the Tents 2026: Rokimoto, 52Toys, Chris Uminga, Absolute Green Arrow, California Browncoats

We are counting down the days to SDCC as if Santa Claus himself was nearing the point of delivering geeky goodness under your brightly lit tree. And since it’s July, and since we are holding a Christmas in July party after SDCC, and since it is my favorite holiday, let’s quickly discuss what I hope to get for Christmas this year.

I hope Santa can deliver a brand deal from Bandai Namco Collectibles/Tamashii Nations. I am going to be frank with you, collecting SHFiguarts isn’t cheap so I need Santa to come through on this. Also, I would love to see under the tree this year some of the art featured in this edition of UTT!

Let’s take a look at what you might have missed:

  • I love a good saxaphone solo and I think Chris Uminga might as well. My top three saxophone solos: “Vampires” by The Midnight, “We Don’t Need Another Hero” by Tina Turner, and “The Illogical Song” by Super Tramp. With my list out of the way, Chris took to Instagram Stories to share a sneak peak at a limited piece for that will be at SDCC. Fans of 80’s vampire flicks might recognize it…

  • Next up in this edition of UTT is Jennifer Sun Bell, known for roles in Marvel Rivals (White Fox) and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Nora Armstrong), who recently mentioned on social media that they will be in attendance for San Diego Comic-Con. For what? Maybe we will find out in the coming days!

  • Writer Pornsak Pichetshote will be attending San Diego Comic-Con in celebration of Absolute Green Arrow alongside Rafael Albuquerque, according to a recent post on Facebook. Expect a signing schedule for Pornsak before SDCC kicks off.

    • Artist Brandon Kenney (who has some great art featured in Fortnite, if I may say), recently posted on Instagram showing off a sticker he hopes to have ready and available at SDCC. Not just any sticker, by the way, but Princess Donut from the popular Dungeon Crawler Carl series!

  • The California Browncoats, pretty much a staple of San Diego Comic-Con at this point, will be hosting a “Browncoat Board Game Night“. This will be happening on Saturday, July 25 from 7pm-10pm in the Pacific Ballroom 22 inside the Marriott Marquis. Firefly games will be available!

  • Illustrator and comic artist Hannah Hillam is turning SDCC into San Diego CAT-Con with these totally rad cat magnets they recently showed off on Instagram. You will be able to find these and more at Hannah’s booth at #BB-01. MEOW.

    • Surfing has to be one of the things many people associate with the lovely city of San Diego, but what about a surfing PIKACHU?? Well, Eric M. Esquivel recently shared on social media a rare variant to the comic he wrote “FAME: SATOSHI TAJIRI“, that features Pikachu conquering the waves via surfboard. There will only be a 151 copies (real ones understand that reference), and you can catch this variant cover, drawn by Matthew Waite, at Collector Cave Booth #1343. Gnarly!

    • Need more Toy Story in your life after watching the latest film? Thunder Bay Press is bringing a Toy Story Crochet Kit to SDCC so you can create your favorite character! You can find it at Booth #1117.

  • Best-selling romance author Amalie Howard recently took to Instagram to tease their upcoming appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. While this is just a tease, keep an eye out to see where Amalie will be signing and making panel appearances.

  • Are you a bilingual fan of Dungeon & Dragons? Looking for a fun experience with D&D and other popular games while at Comic-Con? GM Atari recently posted on Instagram a schedule of bilingual gaming that will be happening during the con.

  • Comic book artist Alice Darrow recently posted on Bluesky to announce that she can be found at Booth #5016 with some goodies to purchase. Alice will also be signing at the Dark Horse booth on Friday, July 24!

Come see me booth 5016 at San Diego comic con this year!! I’ll have original art, prints, and limited editions of the collection that come with an original drawing. I’ll also be signing at the Dark Horse booth Friday morning!

  • Okay, maybe I am in the minority but the “Slurp the fun” motto from Rokimoto isn’t a favorite of mine. Regardless of that, they have great products. They will be giving fans the chance to “Slurp the fun” at their San Diego Comic-Con booth which will be located #4945 with exclusives and even a few surprises.

  • In more news about Absolute Green Arrow, Unknown Comic Books have on sale SDCC 2026 Mystery Boxes ($30)  where you might be able to find Absolute Green Arrow No. 1 Gold Foil Exclusive by Tyler Kirkham. You’ll be able to purchase your SDCC Mystery Box at Unknown Comic Books Booth #1001.

  • One of my hobbies includes collecting and posing highly articulate action figures and 52TOYS is one of the companies that offers some great figures. They will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year with a very exclusive Ryu and Chun-Li, which are limited to 100 pieces of each. Make sure you “Hadouken” your way quickly over to booth #4837 to secure yours.

  • Fans of cute bunnies are in for a treat! Artist Lea Seidman Hernandez showed off a few different art cards that they will have at their Artist Alley Booth #AA-09.

  • Attention comic book collectors! Scott’s Collectables recently took to Facebook to show off another SDCC variant exclusive, and this time it is for “Something is Killing the Children” issue #49 by artist Dan Quintana. Dan will also be at the Scott’s Collectables Booth #2314 throughout the event for signings!

  • Heavy Metal Booth #4804 will have an awesome selection of GenSeven Creations items to purchase according to a recent post showing a preview by Allen Ling.

  • Need an absolute awesome variant of Absolute Batman issue 22? I know you do, and you can find just that at Booth #2302 with offerings by artists Javier Fernandez and Belen Ortega.
