It’s now July, and you know what that means…Â San Diego Comic-Con is officially this month.
As the days between “now” and “the start of SDCC” grow shorter and shorter, we know the panic and overwhelming sense of anxiety about not being prepared grows exponentially. But don’t worry! Our team of early morning birds, night owls, and the clinically insane (because you have to be in order to do what we’re doing) are here to help you keep up with all of the important news, from offsites, exclusives, panels, and so much more.
Here’s what you can expect over the next month:
Panel Schedule
Traditionally, this schedule is released exactly two weeks before the convention, which should mean that we won’t get a peek at the full, official schedule until July 9-12 — but with panel confirmations slowly trickling in, we expect to know a good chunk of the schedule before the full release. You can find all of the panels that we know about currently (which right now, includes Marvel, Grimm, and more) over in our master list of Announced Panels.
Exclusive Announcements
We already have tons of exclusive announcements throughout our site… but we’re just getting started, baby! Prepare for the avalanche of exclusive announcements still to come, including news from UCC Distributing, RSVLTS, FiGPiN, Peanuts, Toddland, Bandai, Mondo, and so many more.
And of course, there’s still the Online Exclusives Portal sign-ups to come on July 7, which will include Funko, Mattel, UCC Distributing, and more.
As always, you can find all of the exclusives that have been announced so far in our Exclusives category.
Autographs
While we know several panels – we have barely scratched the surface when it comes to autographs. Our annual list of Announced Autograph Signings compiles them all, and we’ll be sharing it soon.
Offsite Announcements
Expect this to be a big, big month for San Diego Comic-Con offsite announcements. We’re still awaiting news on many of the biggest players, including The Lodge, FX, Disney, and so many more.
You can always find a list of offsites on our event calendar.
More SDConCast
Although the new season of the SDConCast is already in full swing, we have an exciting last few episodes coming up for you. First, you can join us to talk SDCC TV Eric Goldman on Tuesday, July 7. Then, join us on Friday, July 10 and Sunday, July 12 for our annual Breaking Down the Panel Schedule podcasts. Finally, we’ll have a show on Tuesday, July 14. Then you won’t see our smiling faces again until we’re actually at the convention. Ahhhhh.
Is there anything in particular you would like us to cover or want to know more about for SDCC? Let us know in the comments, drop us a line or tweet us at @SD_Comic_Con.
