First World War drama The Fallow Few is heading to venues in London and across Hampshire in southern England for a series of UK screenings and Q&As with writer/director JR Rappaport and members of the cast, including familiar faces from Interview with the Vampire, Merlin, and Blackadder.
Based on a true story, the film follows Corporal George Hansen (Bradley James), whose childhood friend and superior officer, Assistant Provost Marshal Sydney Oakes (Luke Brandon Field), offers him a posting away from the front lines guarding British soldiers awaiting execution for desertion.
But the two clash as George begins questioning the executions, and when Lieutenant Edwin Dyett (Christopher Bonwell) arrives in his custody, George must decide how far he’s willing to go to save a life, even if it means risking his own.
The upcoming events offer UK audiences a chance to see the independent film ahead of its wider release, with director and cast Q&As advertised as part of the screening tour. Guest lineups vary by venue, so fans hoping to see a particular actor should check the individual listing — though Rappaport, James, Brandon Field, and Robinson are confirmed for both the November 7 screening at Regal Picturehouse in Henley-on-Thames, and Rappaport, James, and Robinson are confirmed for the November 11 screening in Clapham.
Clapham screening, though Field is not currently listed for that event.
