It’s a big year for 1999 cult classic animated series Mission Hill. Not only is it the 25th anniversary of its debut, but co-creators Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein are also embarking on a nationwide tour around the U.S. to celebrate the milestone with fans.
The tour includes a stop at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 25, and we’re excited to reveal that actor and comedian Brian Posehn, who voiced James “Jim” Kuback in the series, will be joining the event.
Also appearing at the San Diego stop will be Herbert Sigüenza, who voiced Carlos Hernandez in Mission Hill.
Fans will be treated to new, never-before-seen high-definition restoration of fan-favorite episodes with the series original music. Select episodes will be screened, followed by a Q&A, and trivia for prizes.
We also recently spoke with Oakley about what it’s been like to look back on 25 years of the series, and the joy of connecting with fans on the tour.
“Comic-Con is a gigantic assemblage of comic art and animation fans, all together in one place once a year, and it seems like we’d be remiss if we did NOT have our 25th Anniversary show here. I know it will be memorable for us and, hopefully, for them,” Oakley said.
Tickets are available now at Music Box for the Thurday, July 25 show, which will be at 7pm (with VIP doors at 6pm and GA at 6:30pm), from $37.12 General Admission to $85.58 for VIP Meet & Greet.
