CBLDF Comic-Con Welcome Party 2024
For comic professionals at San Diego Comic-Con, there is no better party than the annual Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) welcome party. This year’s event will be Thursday, July 25 at the Westgate Hotel, from 8pm-12pm, and it will be sponsored by Oni Press.
This year, they’ll be paying homage to the legendary EC Comics, thanks to Oni Press’Â Epitaphs from the Abyss #1 which pays tribute to EC Comics publisher William M. Gaines, a defender of the freedom of free speech and expression.
This year’s co-sponsors include CGC, Kickstarter, The Nacelle Company, MUTANT, and Maestro Media. You’ll find cool swag (free gift bags for the first 100 attendees), MUTANT co-founders Mo Shafeek and Spencer Hickman spinning live DJ sets, and the annual CBLDF Silent Art Auction. Comic-Con badges are not required to attend.
Entry is free for CBLDF members, with a suggested $20 donation for the general public.
