Hope everyone is having a…. well, if not a great Memorial Day weekend, then at least a not-terrible one. Admittedly, it’s a low bar to clear, but I’ll take any small victory these days.
Hey, here’s something that’ll pick all of you up: we are now officially in “less than two months to go until San Diego Comic-Con 2026” territory! So here’s the latest roundup of news that’s fit to print post on social media.
As always, if you knew about everything below already, please consider joining our team:
- Brandon Lee (aka TurtleMe) will be bringing an exclusive SDCC grey cover of his web novel compilation The Beginning After the End Volume 1: Early Years. Based on the announcement, you can likely pick this up at Rocketship Entertainment’s booth.
I'll be attending SDCC with @RocketshipEnt!
We’ll have an exclusive TBATE Vol. 1 SDCC edition cover available during the event: Grey for King Grey 👑
Stay tuned for more details on signings and panels! pic.twitter.com/rJ4E5ZfUD3

- You know how we know panel confirmations have gone out? On one hand, people start vague and cryptic posts about them, possibly with a tease for details in the future. Five of them are writer Joe Harris (who knows the game well, it seems), comedian Anastasia Washington, panelist collective Women on the Dark Side, F.I.S.T. Action Figures (from Donman Art Collectibles), and Moni Barrette (co-founder of nonprofit Creators Assemble).

- You know how else we know panel confirmations have gone out? On the other hand, some people post actual details! Well, at least one person has: The Writers Coffeehouse will have a Thursday (July 23) panel at 2:15pm-4:15pm in room Marina D at the Marriott Marquis. Outside of SDCC, the Coffeehouse is a monthly networking session hosted at Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore, an independent shop in nearby Point Loma.

- Award-winning fantasy author S.G. Blaise will be back at San Diego Comic-Con with her Seven Galaxies Chronicles series, and they’re encouraging cosplayers to stop by the booth and have provided a helpful cosplay guide for protagonist Princess Lilla.
- It’s not hard to be romantic about San Diego Comic-Con. You can say the same about… time travel??? Michael Charron and the rest of the team at Rogue Alchemy Pictures will be screening their comedy It’s Not Hard to Be Romantic About Time Travel at this year’s Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF).
- Friend of the UBlog Priscilla Wilson (aka Valor & Vellum) is on that SDCC grind. One thing that’s checked off the ol’ checklist? Approval for her official exclusive and debut pins.
My SDCC official exclusive and debut pins have been APPROVED! Still cranking away on the other stuff!

Mary Bellamy (aka Zorilita) will be posted up at her usual spot in Small Press #N-04. This year, she’s bringing Volume 11 (that seems like a lot!) of her long-running series, Faux Facts – The Truth Can Be Strange!
Hey, who's ready for San Diego Comic Con!? Some familiar girls return to the convention with the last official graphic novel double issue! Find me at Zorilita-Mary Bellamy Small Press N04 @SD_Comic_Con pic.twitter.com/xVV5YXB2Eq

- Cartoonist Stephan Pastis replied to a follower on Threads to confirm he’ll be at SDCC this year.

-
We need plush charms, yes we do, we need plush charms, how about you? Eunisyn is bringing 40 Red Hood plush charms to Artist Alley #DD-10. That’s 20 Red Hoods and 20 Kitty Hoods, to you.

- It was probably inevitable that Matt Dinniman’s popular literary RPG book series Dungeon Crawler Carl received a graphic novel adaptation release earlier this year. Which means it was also probably inevitable that Matt Dinniman’s popular literary RPG book series Dungeon Crawler Carl‘s graphic novel adaptation receive an SDCC exclusive cover. This one comes courtesy of Alé Garza.
- Swifties can always count on Julie Vu (aka Julie Draws Stuff) for some awesome Taylor Swift art. Here’s a sneak peek at a work from the Evermore era.

- If you spot a vertically-inclined fellow in a self-created Dragon Ball Z outfit, you may have spotted Best Humor Publication Eisner nominee Tom Toro (for And to Think We Started as a Book Club). He’ll be attending San Diego Comic-Con in costume. Presumably he’s also there in case, you know, he wins an Eisner.

- San Diego native, film animator, and comic creator Bobby Rubio will be debuting a new series, Neighborhood Legend, at the con.
- This tease from Rubio and Aaron Nabus probably has something to do with Neighborhood Legend, as well. Very curious.
- Finally, still looking for some missing days in your badges? Naval Base Coronado is looking for daily volunteers to fill 3-hour shifts during San Diego Comic-Con, Thursday to Sunday. You may volunteer for no more than one day. They’re taking signups here.
