Ignition Press is leveling up its San Diego Comic-Con presence in a big way this year. After making its Comic-Con debut last summer with an offsite, the creator-driven publisher is expanding both inside and outside the convention center, with its first-ever exhibit hall booth (#5531) alongside a brand-new offsite destination, the Ignition Pavilion, located just steps from the Convention Center.
On the show floor, Booth #5531 will be the home of Ignition Press’ exclusives and original series, including The Beauty (on which the FX/Hulu hit series from Ryan Murphy was based on), Extraction (an upcoming Netflix film and streaming series franchise), Murder Podcast, Roots of Madness, Everyone Loves A Jewel Thief, Voyeur, and Innards. There will also be seven upcoming series debuting at San Diego Comic-Con, with limited collections and first issues available at the con.
Outside the convention, Ignition Press will be transforming the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Drive, #120, San Diego) into the Ignition Pavilion, a gathering place for fans, creators, and press. Visitors can shop exclusive covers and meet creators including Tini Howard, Jeremy Haun, Cullen Bunn, Rob Guillory, Tim Seeley, Christian Ward, Leah Williams, Stephanie Williams, Olivia Dufault, Joe Eisma, and more, while shopping convention-exclusive comics and collected editions.
The Pavilion will also host the debut of Airwalker, Ignition Press’ first original graphic novel based on a concept by Stan Lee and brought to life by Jeremy Haun and Danny Luckert.
Fans can also try their luck at the Pavilion’s gachapon machine, which will offer prizes ranging from comic book ashcans to rare golden tickets redeemable for original commissioned sketches by select Ignition Press creators. Additional partnership activations will be announced closer to the show.
“On the last day of Comic-Con last year, the Ignition Press team immediately started discussing how we could make this year even bigger and better for fans,” said Publisher Filip Sablik. “Thanks to the incredible work of our team and partners, I can confidently say we’re going to knock it out of the park. Our presence at SDCC this year will even more clearly reflect our values of doing comics differently, meeting and building community where they are, and celebrating our amazing creators!”
The Ignition Pavilion will be open during the following hours:
- Wednesday, July 22: 5pm-9pm
- Thursday, July 23: 12pm-8pm
- Friday, July 24: 12pm-8pm
- Saturday, July 25: 12pm-8pm
- Sunday, July 26: 12pm-6pm
