If your commute to and from San Diego Comic-Con suddenly feels a little more super-powered, there’s a reason. We got an exclusive first look at a brand-new San Diego MTS trolley wrap promoting Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes.
The upcoming set marks Marvel’s debut in Magic: The Gathering, the long-running collectible card game where players build decks of spells, creatures, and legendary characters to battle one another. This time, those legendary characters include some of Marvel’s biggest heroes and villains, all reimagined as Magic cards within the Magic: The Gathering gameplay.
The new trolley wrap showcases several of those cards and characters in larger-than-life fashion, featuring Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Black Widow, M.O.D.O.K., and many more racing across the sides of the train. It follows this week’s Gaslamp signage installation, making it clear that Wizards of the Coast is gearing up for a major presence at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The interior of the trolley’s will also be wrapped closer to the convention — something that doesn’t happen often, but always makes the ride feel even more immersive.
