SDCC 2026 Programming Schedule: Sunday Highlights

It’s two weeks away from Comic-Con, and CCI is releasing the programming schedule for Comic-Con 2026 in its annual fashion. We’ll be bringing you the highlights of each day as they’re announced.

We’ll also be discussing our thoughts on this year’s lineup, including our top picks, what time to line up, room flow, and more in a special series of live podcasts this weekend. The first of which covered Thursday’s and Friday’s lineup, and you can catch that over here if you missed it live. We’ll also be covering Saturday and Sunday’s schedule on Sunday, July 12 at 6:30PM ET/3:30PM PT.

So now, onto Sunday.

The biggest rooms of the week — Hall H, Ballroom 20, and Indigo — are closed on Sunday, as they are every year. Instead, the focus of the day seems to be… on anniversaries! Several companies are celebrating big milestones at the con on Sunday, including 85 years of Blue Beetle at 2:15pm in 5AB (with Cully Hammer, Josh Trujillo, Paris Cullen, and Mike Dando), 60 years of Star Trek at 1:30pm in 6A with IDW’s Star Trek comics captain Heather Antos, 40 years of Dark Horse at 12pm in 7AB, and another 40 years for The Baby-Sitters Club at 10am in 6DE. Sailor Moon also gets a birthday celebration for its 35th anniversary, and Pokemon is also celebrating its 30 years at 1pm in 6BCF, with artists, retailers, and more. I hope someone bought birthday candles in bulk.

Fans of TV and film can still find plenty of smaller panels throughout the schedule, including “Time Traveling Through Film and TV Set Decoration” at 3pm in 32AB with set decorators from Future Man, Quantum Leap, and Timeless. Love pirate films and TV shows? Catch “From Blackbeard to Netflix” at 12pm in the Omni San Diego Grand Ballroom DE with actors and creatives from Black SailsOne PiecePirates of the Caribbean, and more.

But the biggest movie panel of the day is… Air Bud! Yes, you read that correctly! Franchise creator Robert Vince takes to the stage at 10:30am in 6BCF for a dog-gone good time.

Want to chat about the art of making movie posters? At 3pm in Room 11 you’ll find industry professionals for “Thinking Aloud: Live Movie Poster Design Challenge”, in which they race to create a mock movie poster based on audience suggestions, in real time during the panel.

The audience participation continues at 12:15pm in Room 7AB for “Ask an Astronaut: Q&A with NASA Astronaut (and Everest Climber) Scott Parazynski”, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Combining TV and comics, Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman takes over Room 6DE at 11:15am to reflect on the end of the beloved series and the upcoming Netflix finale film Heartstopper Forever. At 11am in Room 7AB, fans can also return to Halloween Town for a look at Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: All Hail the Pumpkin King.

Want to know what streaming services are actually looking for (or even just catch Dungeon Crawler Carl creator Matt Dinniman in a Sunday panel)? Creators including Matt Dinniman, Kevin Grevioux, Jonathan Maberry, and Disney’s Gary Montalbano discuss how streaming has changed the entertainment industry at 2pm in Room 29AB.

Voice acting also gets plenty of attention on Sunday. Eric Bauza, Shelby Young, Candi Milo, Frank Todaro, and Piotr Michael break down how they created some of their best-known character voices at 12pm in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. Then at 3pm in Room 7AB, industry veterans offer free, practical advice about actually building a career in animation and video game voiceover.

In comics, the annual Jack Kirby Tribute Panel returns at 10am in Room 5AB, with Kirby’s grandchildren Tracy and Jeremy Kirby, longtime inker Mike Royer, and more celebrating the life and influence of the King of Comics, as led in a discussion by Mark Evanier. You also won’t want to miss a look back at the career of Steve Ditko at 11:15am in 5AB, with some big names, including Frank Miller, Bob Bursden, Michael E. Uslan, and more.

Look back at decades in the industry during “No One Gets Out Alive” at 1pm in Room 32AB, featuring Stan Sakai, Barbara Randall Kesel, Barbara “Willy” Mendes, and Danny Fingeroth. At 2:30pm in Room 3, fans can watch Stanley “Artgerm” Lau transform a blank comic cover into an original piece of art live on stage.

Toy collectors still have a few reveals left to chase before heading home. Hasbro Pulse takes over Room 6DE at 1:45pm with upcoming Transformers collectibles, and voice actors including Jon Bailey (Optimus Prime, Jeff the Land Shark), Michael Dobson (Starscream), Travis Willingham (Sideswipe), and Isaac Singleton (Soundwave). Then at 3pm in the same room, Four Horsemen Studios offers updates on their toy lines.

Is it even Comic-Con without the annual “Starship Smackdown”? The panel returns for its 33rd year at 2:45pm in Room 6A, pitting some of science fiction’s most iconic ships against each other in a live debate.

Disney fans looking to bring a little fandom into their closets can head to Room 5AB at 3:15pm for the official Disneybound panel.

The Comic-Con Museum also looks ahead at what’s coming to Balboa Park at 11:30am in Room 25ABC, including new exhibits centered on Charles Addams and artist Mel Marcelo. Star Wars Ahsoka voice actor Ashley Eckstein will also discuss the museum’s semi-permanent “Masquerade: The Art of the Costume” exhibit, alongside moderator Eddie Ibrahim, of Hall H fame.

And if you’re already daydreaming about your next vacation before Comic-Con has even ended, “The Best Pop Culture Vacation Destinations” at 1pm in the Neil Morgan Auditorium will pit fictional locales against each other in a bracket-style debate.

And of course, the day mostly closes out with the annual Comic-Con Talk Back panel at 3:30pm in 25ABC, which is essentially your forum to ask anything or say anything to the organizers of San Diego Comic-Con.
