Hey San Diego Comic-Con attendees-in-waiting! How was that Thursday for you? You doing okay after that schedule drop? Not too shabby of a lineup, is it? Hope you checked out all our coverage and have started to figure out where you want to be when. It’ll be time to do it all again tomorrow!
Now, let’s make sure these other exciting announcements don’t fall through the cracks:
- Unknown Comics is over halfway done with their exclusive announcements, and they just keep getting better and better. This variant cover for Absolute Batman #22 by Stephen Segovia is a Black & White beauty.
REVEAL NO. 8! 🚨
Cover 8 of 12 for our SDCC 2026 Mystery Box is the Absolute Batman no. 22 Stephen Segovia B&W variant! Pure shadow & ink perfection 🦇🔥

- Here’s a level of creativity that I don’t think I can even fathom. Heck, it took me seven and a half minutes just to write the first paragraph of this post! But look here! Writer Theresa Halvorsen is taking commissions for short stories. Can you even imagine? Find her at Booth #Q-04 to take her up on the offer.
- By (crochet) hook or by crook, the Geeky Hooker is determined to expand her lineup of crocheted finders-keepers critters.
Got one more critter in the works before I complete my critterdrop lineup for SDCC 2026! Any guesses who it is? pic.twitter.com/wHGseaH1ms

- Artist Elaine Ho has only one convention on her schedule for this year, San Diego Comic-Con. They will be making the most of it with a full catalog of everything they will have at their booth, #AA-21 in Artist Alley, including dreamy prints, playmats, journals, and more.
- I’ve been wondering where all of the Ronin Club’s announcements were, turns out they are just a little later than last year’s announcements, but just still just as exciting. Looks like special guests Genki and Sunao Saito will be joining them at their booth.

- Legendary artist and writer Colleen Doran will be assisting the National Cartoonists Society in celebrating their 80th anniversary with a signing at their booth, #1307, on Thursday, July 23 from 9:30am – 1pm.
San Diego Comic Con, I'm signing at the National Cartoonists Society booth which (I believe) is 1307 from Thursday at 9:30 AM to 1PM. I'm only bringing a small number of prints and art. Join us for our 80th anniversary! https://t.co/CqitR0KrjT

- This looks nothing like the Elektra I remember from the movie…and frankly, that’s a good thing. No shade to Jennifer Garner, she was excellent on Alias and those Capital One commercials are entirely believable, but this is what my version of Elektra should look like. Well played, Donny Tran. This print can be found at Booth #BB-21 in Artist Alley. Not even the stars are safe in the sky.
- YOU GUYS!! LOOK AT THIS DOG! What a cutie patootie! Apparently this dog’s name is Jae Lee and he’s gonna go on a wittle adventure all the way to San Diego Comic-Con! What a GOOD BOY! You’re such a good little doggy! I can’t wait to come and see you at Booth #801, That Spider-Man Booth! I love you little Jae Lee! See you soon!
- Artist Kehausuk will be in a new spot this year, Booth #1536, something you’ll want to make note of because I think you’re going to want one of these San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Derpy & Sussie prints. Good news is: it’s absolutely gorgeous. Bad news is: there are only 250 copies.

- I want to sincerely apologize to Jae Lee, the human. It turns out that Jae Lee is the person holding the dog, and NOT, as I had assumed, the cutie patootie wittle doggy. Jae Lee and an incredible artist and writer, his variant covers are very popular with comic fans. His new series, M1 Racing League from Image Comics is super fun, you should really check it out. Again, my apologies to all the readers, and to Mr. Jae Lee. He will be at San Diego Comic-Con (without the dog) at That Spider-Man Booth, #801.
- Cartoonist Nick Seluk is hopefully packing his Heart and Brain for his trip to San Diego Comic-Con. *giggle* Get it? Because that’s the name of his CARTOON! Plus he has a heart and a brain! ANYWAY! Nick will be signing at Booth #2707, the Rocketship Entertaiment booth, over the whole weekend. Please don’t tell him about my dumb joke.

- Hu Creates (Booth #5527, for future reference) is really tickling my fancy with these super sweet looking exclusives and limited edition products. I was looking at them and thinking “I don’t know where they come from, I don’t know what they are, but they sure are neat!” And it made me think about this sketch from SNL with Janeane Garofolo, so now I have been watching that for the last 7 and a half minutes. I’m sure my editor REALLY appreciates my work ethic.
- The impromptu book swap Joshua del Toro mentioned about 7 and a half months ago has come to fruition. Well almost. It WILL come to fruition, but only if you all show up and swap some books. You can RSVP your intention on Eventbrite.
- Invader Comics has a few exclusives they’d like you to take a gander at. Dream Logic #1, written by Keith Foster (Animals, Kodoja, Space Minotaur) with art by Carlo Romero (Animals) has an exclusive SDCC cover by Mike Nelsen (Supernaut). It will be $10 and limited to 100 copies. A very rare, limited to 25 copies “Rorshach Edition” featuring one-of-a kind hand-crafted original Rorshach tests, will be $25. They will be available at the Making Comics Small Press Booth, #K-04.
- Bonkers Toys has created a very fun, very cool toy line inspired by Minecraft YouTuber Aphmau. They will have a selection of merchandise that attendees at San Diego Comic-Con will be the first in the nation to have a chance to purchase at Booth #221. The merch includes plush, collectors figures, and an Aphmau Cat Cafe playset.
- And lastly today, long-time SDCC attendee and Russ Manning nominee Mike Heffron will have two show exclusives with Lawdog Comics this year, both can be found at their booth, #M-15 in Small Press. His “Inner Space” print is a love letter to the Micronauts and re-imagines the famous X-Men #1 cover composition by Jim Lee and Scott Williams. It measures 27″ x 12″ and comes signed and numbered with a foil insignia. Only 50 will be available at SDCC, for $40 each. Heffron will also have The House on the Island, a new three-issue mini-series that will make your spine tingle.
