Question of the Week #10: What Is Your Favorite Cosplay From SDCC?

In an effort to feature more attendees, rather than featuring just one per week, we’re featuring lots of you! We’ll have a new question each week, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels for each week’s question. Without further ado, let’s get into this week’s question:

I usually just stick to regular clothing, but my favorite cosplays to spot four years ago and last year were a couple of fellow attendees! I saw an awesome Spider-Man and a classic Doctor Doom.

First, I chose a Spider-Man cosplayer I saw in 2022 (when the event officially returned after a two-year hiatus). It felt like the perfect way to celebrate the hype as Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker (but everyone still remembers his alter-ego Spider-Man) in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, swinging into theaters this month.

Second, I snapped a photo of the phenomenal Doctor Doom cosplayer in 2025. It’s the ultimate choice as the world and Comic-Con International get ready for Avengers: Doomsday, the fifth installment of the Avengers movie franchise. Fans are thrilled to learn that filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo (known for their work in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019)) and producer Kevin Feige (who is also the president of Marvel Studios) have welcomed Academy Award-winning actor Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man in the Infinity Saga; Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom in the Multiverse Saga) and Chris Evans (Steve Rogers also known as the original Captain America) back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2008-present). It’s also exciting because the majority of actors from the Infinity and Multiverse sagas – and even from outside the MCU – are returning as well.

It really is the ultimate way to celebrate the current peak of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Let’s be honest here… we all have seen some awesome cosplays. Last year though… those that witnessed the Galactus cosplay were awestruck at it. I was at the Hasbro booth and suddenly… there was literal silence. I didn’t know what was going on until… I saw it walking by. Simply… awesome!!! I’ve never wanted to be a herald of Galactus before until that day.

These were some of my favorite cosplays that I’ve seen throughout my years attending SDCC. I wasn’t sure if you were asking for the favorite cosplay that I’ve seen or my favorite cosplay that I’ve worn, so I added my favorite one I’ve worn in the pics as well. My Starfleet officer impaled by a lightsaber was my favorite to wear. My only problem was that SDCC security took me off the floor because I was considered too dangerous. I didn’t realize I gave off “dangerous” vibes. I was only allowed to go back if I detached the part of the lightsaber that stuck out of my back.
