REVIEW: Step Inside the World of “Silo” at San Diego Comic-Con 2026

Apple TV+’s Silo brought a piece of its underground world to San Diego Comic-Con this year with a compact, atmospheric experience that gave fans the chance to step inside the world of the series.

Brought to life by the team at Kamp Grizzly, the experience itself is brief, lasting around three minutes from start to finish (and there are signs everywhere letting fans know this ahead of time). Because only a handful of guests can enter at a time, it has a fairly low throughput. In other words, each cycle accommodates relatively few people, which naturally limits how many attendees can experience it over the course of the day.

Once inside, though, the activation does a surprisingly good job of selling the illusion. Clever mirror effects make the space feel much larger than it actually is, creating the impression that you’re stepping foot into the vast interior of the Silo itself.

A performer fully committed to the role helps bring the world to life, interacting with guests as visual effects and lighting complete the atmosphere, with fun easter eggs for fans of the series.

It’s over almost as soon as it begins, and we do hope that for general attendees, the team is able to move more people through the experience than they did during the press preview. The good news is that the queue is shaded, which is no small thing during one of the hotter Comic-Con weekends in recent memory.

For devoted Silo fans, though, the chance to step into the world of the series is worth the stop.

Upon exiting the Silo itself, fans receive an exclusive pin and have the opportunity to snap a photo in front of the Silo.

The experience is open now through Sunday, July 26 at The Lot @ 1st & J, from 11am-7pm daily, though hours are subject to change.
