[UPDATED May 31 2012]: The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting all cancelled and returned badges go on sale this morning, May 31, at 11AM ET / 8AM PT. Everyone who registered for a Member ID by the May 24 deadline has been notified via email of the sale. The official Comic-Con registration page has not yet been updated with this information.

For those still in the market for an SDCC badge this year, take note – CCI will be announcing a sale date for their cancelled / returned badges soon!

There’s a couple things to note regarding this sale. You must have a Comic-Con Member ID in order to participate in the sale, and the Member ID system will close at 5:30PM PT / 8:30PM ET on May 24. So if you haven’t yet created one, do it now!

The second important note is that they will only have 5,000 single day badges available for purchase – no four-day badges will be offered during this sale.

Also, this sale is only available to folks who don’t already have a 4-day or Saturday badge. If you do, consider yourself one of the lucky ones!
