It looks like it’s Morphin’ Time!
Actress Becky G, who stars in the upcoming Lionsgate Power Rangers film, recently did a radio interview with Mega 96.3, where she mentioned that they’ll be attending the convention. Here’s the snippet, from around 8:30 in the video below:
Becky G: … and I know that we are gonna be doing Comic-Con. So we are going to do that. I’m geeked! Yeah!
Radio Host: Is this your first Comic-Con?
Becky G: My first Comic-Con.
The comment was made while discussing Bryan Cranston — who was recently revealed to be playing Zordon — so it’s possible that we may also be seeing Cranston at the convention as well.
While not officially confirmed for a panel, this news shouldn’t shock anyone. Lionsgate today revealed that they’ll be screening upcoming horror film The Woods for attendees (details still TBA), and the studio currently has a joint-venture streaming service with CCI called Comic-Con HQ, so they have a vested interest in the convention. So we fully expect a Hall H panel, with lots of news about the film.
The Power Rangers reboot is scheduled to hit the theaters on March 24, 2017, and stars Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin, Dacre Montgomery, and again, Cranston.
Here’s a look at the full interview:
