The floodgates are open. Returning Registration (formerly Preregistration) is soon upon us, and more artists/exhibitors are announcing their presence at SDCC. Are you ready for Saturday? Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:
- Artist Don Rosa has announced that he will be at SDCC this year. Let him know you’ll be there at his Facebook Event and mark your calendar.
- Madgirl Clothing by Pendragon Costumes has also announced via Facebook Event that they will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year.
- Committed Comics will be in the Small Press area with “a bunch of cool new books and some amazing artwork!” Go to their Facebook Event and let them know you’ll be stopping by.
- If you’re looking for artist Terry Moore, you can find him at SDCC this year.
- Hollywood Collectibles is bringing their unique vision back to SDCC this year. You can check them out at Booth 2845.
- You can find artist/photographer Jennifer Nolan at SDCC this year in Artist Alley as well as the Art Show. Let her know you’ll be looking for her in her Facebook Event.
- Artist Rob Kaz will appear at SDCC this year. Follow his Facebook Event for details.
- Lab Reject Studios are making the trek to San Diego Comic-Con all the way from rosy Pasadena. You can find them in the Small Press area at Booth P14.
- Solar Flare Comics have also announced via Facebook Event that they will be at SDCC this year.
- Our friends at Factory Entertainment always have something fun up their sleeves at San Diego Comic-Con – whether it’s last year’s Back to the Future keychain set to take you back to SDCC 2016, or a talking George R.R. Martin plush doll. What do they have in store for the convention this year? Nothing official yet, but when official Twitter account for the Game of Thrones showed off a The Hand of the King Bottle Opener, Factory Entertainment suggested to “keep your eyes peeled this July”. Sounds promising. Very promising.

- Illustrator and LEGO-drawer-extraordinaire Dan Veesenmeyer will be at San Diego Comic-Con‘s Artist Alley again this year. He typically opens up a commission list closer to the convention – so keep your eyes peeled.
- Artist Nan Hockin is bringing her Mermaid Prints to SDCC this year.

- SoCal DC Cosplayer Photoshoots is holding a DC Cosplayer Photoshoot at SDCC on Saturday, July 22 from 2PM to 5PM. Sorry all you Logan and Deadpool cosplayers, but you’ll have to wait until they announce their Marvel Photoshoot.
- Look for a new Printed in Blood artbook centered around John Carpenter’s The Thing, set to launch around San Diego Comic-Con according to GMB Chomichuk – who announced that his artwork will be featured in the book.

- Artist Chad Heinrich is “determined to bring nothing but the newest and the best” to SDCC when he appears this year.

- Image Comics announced at ECCC that Matt Wagner (no relation) will wrap up the Mage trilogy with his final installment: Mage: The Hero Denied. Issue #0 will debut at SDCC 2017, followed by a 15-issue run.
