Do you feel the need — the need for speed? Well, you’re about to get it, as Top Gun: Maverick is getting ready to touch down at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

Deadline reports that Paramount and Skydance Media are bringing the film along to SDCC next month for “some kind of presence”. That doesn’t guarantee a Hall H panel, but with the film not set to open until June 26, 2020, there’s really not much else it could be, unless there’s some sort of offsite appearance planned.

Deadline also reports that cast will be in town, though it’s unclear yet if star Tom Cruise will be joining them.

Paramount returned to SDCC last year with Bumblebee, so it’s nice to see them returning to the con on a more consistent basis.
