Valentine’s may be over, but we’re still very much in love with WonderCon. We’ve got heart-eyes for Toddland’s new Bob’s Burgers shirts, new sketches and prints from artists like Patrick Ballesteros and JYK All Day get our hearts fluttering. Panel announcements? Be still our hearts!
Let’s take a look at what you might have missed:
- Son of a butt! Toddland has a new The Bob’s Burgers Movie shirt they’ll be serving up at WonderCon, but first, they need your help to decide on the final version. Let them know on Twitter which one you hope makes the final menu.
In honor of toddland being an occasional democracy, which @BobsBurgersFOX movie shirt would all you burger people like for @WonderCon ? Gold heather or Yellow heather? With movie logo or without? Todd says he knows the right answer but wants to see what y’all think! #bobsburgers pic.twitter.com/G354KjVXfK

- Toddland will also be bringing back their popular pre-orders for WonderCon. Look for the details soon-ish…. right here.
Yup! In a couple weeks!

- There are more panel announcements coming your way, ahead of the full panel schedule reveal on March 10. Up first, Skewed and Reviewed will be part of a panel discussing the future of the Indiana Jones franchise. It’s not the years, honey, it’s the mileage.
I am not allowed to give the date/time/locale yet but I will be conducting a panel at Wondercon on the future of the Indiana Jones franchise. More details to follow.

- Then, we’ve got Special Guest Marv Wolfman, who announced that his Spotlight panel will be on Sunday, March 26 from 3pm-4pm PT in Room 211 — and that you can otherwise find him at Artist Alley #B-01.
Just announced. I'm a special guest at this year's WonderCon. You'll find me at my table in Artist Alley, B-01. I'm on several panels, including a Spotlight panel on my career. 3/26/2023 3PM-4PM. Room 211. More as we get closer.

- Crystal J. Productions, a media talent, revealed that actor Sam Humphrey (The Greatest Showman), content creator and voice actor Jon Bailey (voice of Honest Trailers), and Anthony Lopez (cosplayer) will be appearing at WonderCon. Crystal J. Productions’ post mentions that they are “Special Guests”, but this is a particular designation at WonderCon, and we suspect they may be at the autograph table.
- We’re big fans of Jin Yung Kim, also known as JYK All Day, and that’s why we’re excited to get a peek at some Dragon Ball sketches he’s been working on to bring to the convention at Artists Alley #A-06. We’re even more excited that he’s considering opening up commissions though, so if you want one, be sure to comment on his Instagram post to let him know to open up spots.
- If you haven’t been playing along (and you really should be!), you can probably guess which composer artist Patrick Ballesteros is creating a tribute print for. His love letter to composer John Williams from last year’s San Diego Comic-Con honored not just Williams’ scores, but the classic movie moments that live on in our heads in no small part thanks to the music. This time, he’ll be honoring a different composer.
Wondercon is getting closer so wanted to share an update on my latest piece. Hoping to wrap up on this by the weekend but it’s been a beast.

This is the next entry for my Symphony Series and hopefully you can guess the composer🤣. More to come but now on to some dark knights. pic.twitter.com/bWfFjv0SUQ
- Not enough of a hint for you? See what happens when you say “Oingo Boingo” three times. It’s surely better than saying a certain other word.
Plugging away on this release for #wondercon2023. Also, for 2 step verification iPhone has one built-in in your settings or you can use google Authenticator. I used my desktop to create a qr code on Twitter then just scanned it with the google app on iPhone to sync them. pic.twitter.com/ZUgqdo65Sj

- New York Times best-selling author and illustrator Rachel Ignotofsky will be at both WonderCon AND San Diego Comic-Con, and we think that’s nifty.
Next tour for sure! (especially because I live in SoCal) Let your favorite bookstore know so they def say yes!
— Rachel Ignotofsky (@ignotofsky) February 20, 2023
Also for the SoCal peeps: I have a whole booth at Anaheim's @WonderCon in March and SD @Comic_Con this summer.
- Get your vegetation fix in over at #SP-36, where the folks behind Joe Plant, a comic about a human/plant hybrid, have a brand new banner to show off.
- Creator Ed Luce showed off a sneak peek at his new Double Negative Collected, which will be debuting at WonderCon. We also love a good snow layer (when it’s digital, at least)!
I do love a good snow layer on a drawing! 'Double Negative Collected' goes to press this week! Debuts next month at WonderCon! pic.twitter.com/KtYz2wGlPh

- Artist Michael “mic?” Magtanong (mic Question, get it?) will be taking us to new heights with their artwork at Artist Alley #F-16.
I’ll see y’all at WonderCon on March 24–26, 2023!

- Last time, we told you that fantasy author Megan Haskell will be making the trek to WonderCon at Small Press #SP-13. Now, we get to tell you that she’s been busy with restocks ahead of the con, so if you’re looking for a new book, stop by!
- Artist Sean Galloway is also busy prepping for WonderCon, and even picked up a new Square Terminal to see if it will make his WonderCon sales experience even better.
Can y’all believe con season is already here?! I picked up this doohickey to see if it’ll make table experiences easier. The reviews seem to really praise it. What are you using for sales? Next, imma have to do trial runs for table layout for WonderCon Artist Alley. 😱 pic.twitter.com/CY8ao6zQGx
