Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy
Come celebrate 25 years of Final Fantasy with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and conductor Arnie Roth, along with the San Diego Master Chorale, for “Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy”. The evening performance will take place on Friday, July 17 at 7:30pm at the Rady Shell, located just behind the San Diego Convention Center.
The concert will spotlight the legacy of Final Fantasy X with fan-favorite compositions by Nobuo Uematsu, including “Hymn of the Fayth/The Sending,” “Zanarkand,” and “Suteki da ne,” performed by original vocalist RIKKI. The program will also reach across the broader series with selections such as “One-Winged Angel” (Final Fantasy VII), “Love Grows” (Final Fantasy VIII), “Roses of May” (Final Fantasy IX), “Cosmo Canyon – Sanctum of Planetology” (Final Fantasy VII Rebirth), “The Final Day” (Final Fantasy XIV), and “Ascension” (Final Fantasy XVI).
Fans will also be treated to an HD video created by Square Enix.
Tickets are available beginning February 24 at 10am PT, including a special VIP Meet & Greet (limited to 75 tickets) which will include premium seating for the concert, post-show access to a Meet & Greet with conductor Arnie Roth and vocalist RIKKI, featuring both an autograph and photo opportunity.
For anyone in town early, this is the perfect way to kick off the convention.
