Mission Control

Calling all aspiring astronauts: San Diego Comic-Con is getting its own Mission Control this year, with a new immersive STEAM experience inviting fans of all ages to explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

The Scientists and Engineers for Space Exploration (SEFSE) will host the Mission Control: STEAM Activity Room Thursday, July 23 – Sunday, July 26 from 11am-5pm daily in the Del Mar Room, located near the Marina Ballroom on Level 3 of the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina’s South Tower.

Throughout the experience, participants can design rockets, build rovers, search for alien life, earn mission patches, and tackle other hands-on activities, with new missions available each day. An assembled team of scientists will guide activities spanning engineering, astrophysics and astronomy, mathematics and computer science, exobiology, geochemistry, robotics, and medicine.

Scientists and engineers from IF/THEN, Cosplay for Science, the Fleet Science Center, and more will be on hand to help guide the next generation of explorers through their missions.

A San Diego Comic-Con badge is required to participate.
