WonderPost: ComiXology, Batgirl, David F. Sandberg, Plop Cartoons, Gabriel Luna

WonderCon week is finally here (SQUEE!). Have you downloaded your update for the CCI app yet? Hopefully, you’re gathering all the info you need for that handy-dandy spreadsheet to help you navigate WonderCon 2017.

Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:

  • ComiXology is holding their 10th Anniversary Kick-off Party at WonderCon on Saturday from 7PM-9PM at the Hilton Anaheim, which is open to both fans and professionals. Visit their Facebook Event and let them know you’ll be there this weekend. And, as an added bonus, the first 100 attendees will receive these two limited edition posters:
  • Zombie Playground Publishing’s Jack and the Pirate Attack will hold raffles and lots of cool giveaways, including personalized copies of Jack and the Zombie Attack and Jack and the Pirate Attack, at Booth SP-54 in the Small Press area.
  • Artist Val Hochberg will be at Table SP-16 in the Small Press area with some amazing prints. According to Val, what she doesn’t sell, she’s taking with her to Phoenix Comic Con and SDCC, but why risk it? Stop by her table at WonderCon and grab these prints while you can.

  • Director David F. Sandberg will hold a panel at WonderCon during the Warner/New Line/DC panel on Saturday. Could this be a teaser for Shazam? Possibly, but considering the photo we tweeted, we think we’re probably looking at an Annabelle 2 panel.

  • Artist Lamont Hunt will have his Dakota Kid Creations in Artist Alley at Table #D-06. This year, he’s bringing what he calls “vintage paper prints,” which seems like a cool concept.
  • Gabriel Luna, best known as Ghost Rider from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will be signing autographs at the Golden Apple Booth #402 on Sunday, April 2 from 1PM-3PM.
