Warner Archive, with whom we’ll be partying at WonderCon Friday night, just announced its full panel line-up at WonderCon with special guests and surprises.
As we first mentioned on our SDConCast last week, the panel “Popular TV Super Heroes Look Better in Blu” on Saturday at 11:30am will play host to never-before-seen footage of the Cartoon Network series, Beware The Batman. The series was removed from the Cartoon Network line-up last fall and is rumored to be cancelled, so this might be one of the few chances to see this footage outside of a home video release.
For Sunday’s “From Chuck Norris to Mr. T: Real-Life Toons and Back Again!” panel at noon, the rumored special-guest has been announced, and it’s Die Hard screenwriter Steve E. de Souza to discuss his 1987 cult classic TV movie, The Spirit. In addition, de Souza will be signing autographs at the Warner Archive booth immediately after the panel.
Lastly, there’s “GoBots, Warner Archive Collection and beyond!” Sunday at 3pm, with the voice of Leader1 Lou Richards among other special guests from the series.
The full press release with details on the four Warner Archive panels is below.
Warner Archive Collection presents an incredibly eclectic quartet of panels at WonderCon this coming weekend, April 18-20, spotlighting everything from popular animated super hero TV series and kooky cartoon music to real-life heroes in animation (and back again) and the original transforming toy robots, The GoBots.
