Last year, Factory Entertainment brought one of the surprise hits of San Diego Comic-Con, with a variant dolphin plush puppet from Archer. At Toy Fair, the licensing company teased at least five exclusives for SDCC 2014 that attendees will want to get their hands on.
We’ll be updating this master post with the company’s exclusive reveals as soon as they are announced. With that said, bring on the exclusives.
[UPDATE July 2] The last of Factory’s SDCC exclusives has been announced, and it looks like they’ve saved the best for last. Behold, the Stan Lee talking plush:
Here’s the description from the product page:
Factory Entertainment is honored to announce number eight in its Convention Exclusives line up, Stan ‘The Man’ Lee, legendary creator of many of the world’s greatest heroes as a 16” tall talking plush! Featuring six phrases specially recorded by Stan for this exclusive, each plush is designed to exactly replicate Stan’s signature look as he appears in his latest creation, Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, limited to just 500 pieces worldwide, available at San Diego Comic Con only from the Factory Entertainment Booth (#2747) while supplies last.
We also have an exclusive sound bite of the talking plush, which you can listen to below:
The Limited Edition version goes for $45, while a special Signature Edition which includes a signed autograph card by Stan Lee himself goes for $100. Both are limited to 500 pieces and can be pre-ordered today via the Factory website.
And one last great bit of news: Stan Lee will be stopping by the Factory booth to meet fans during the convention. No specifics as of yet, but Factory did put out this information at this time:
Times and dates and instructions for meet-&-greet sessions will be announced nearer to the show and be published each morning in our booth. Spaces will be limited and will be pre-ticketed events. Purchase of the exclusive item does not automatically entitle you to admittance to the meet-&-greet and spaces will be limited. All meet-&-greets are subject to actor/talent availability.
We’ll update everyone as soon as we hear specifics on the signings.
