In what very well could be the final piece of NBC’s Comic-Con presence, TV Guide Magazine is reporting that the network will be bringing The Blacklist back to San Diego Comic-Con for a star-studded panel and a look at the upcoming second season. The panel is set for Saturday, July 26, at 1:45PM in Room 6A. According to TV Guide, NBC will be bringing out James Spader and executive producers Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath, though no word on any additional panelists.
The Blacklist premiered at San Diego Comic-Con last year with a pilot screening and Spader’s first visit to the convention, and has since become one of NBC’s top performers. Although the series may not make immediate sense for the Comic-Con crowd, NBC gave it a huge marketing push at both last year’s SDCC and this year’s WonderCon Anaheim, where it covered the Anaheim Convention Center in posters for the series.
According to TV Guide, fans who attend the panel can epect to find out some information about some of their burning unanswered questions, as well as some news about The Blacklist’s second season, debuting on September 22.
Other NBC series already announced include Hannibal and Grimm as well as Constantine, which is actually being brought by Warner Bros., (and with the formerly-cancelled-but-now-renewed-by-Yahoo-Screen Community being brought back to Comic-Con by TV Guide), which may not leave any additional room in NBC’s Comic-Con roster.
